Pandora's Box

In my art class, we're doing a group project where we have to create a childrens' book and some of it has to be pop up. My group is made up of me, my friend Raena, my friend Christina, and this kid Marc who doesnt do ANY work and who we pretend isnt in our group with us.

So me, Raena, and Christina decided to make our book on the Greek myth, Pandora's Box. We're allowed to change the stories a bit, so we did a little. And i'm in charge of all the writing in the book. We changed it so that when Pandora opens the box, the Seven Deadly Sins come flying out. And Christina came up with the idea of writing a song to fill the space behind the things flying out so there's also a creepy little song that plays when she opens it.

As i was in charge of all of the writing, I wrote a little poem to pretend is a song. I dont know if it's good enough to put in the book though. This is it:

Seven Deadly Sins

Lust, Gluttony,

Sloth and Avarice,

Wrath, Vanity,

Envy, equals seven.

Lust and desire,

Overwhelming your senses,

Until you get what you require,

That’s the first of the seven.

Gluttony is a hard habit to break,

For what can you do,

When there’s perfectly good food,

Right there in front of you?

Sloth can kill you,

Don’t let it trap you in,

For when you start to slack off,

You are committing the third sin.

Avarice makes you greedy,

And want even what you can’t have,

Like a queen with too much gold,

This is what the fourth sin has told.

Wrath and rage,

Though unnecessary it is,

You’ll find yourself in a cage,

When your hands are covered in innocent blood.

Vanity, so vain you see,

With a mirror always,

Such high self-worth,

Should never again walk upon the Earth.

Last but not least,

Envy is the last sin,

Jealous of what other people have,

Hating what you were given.

Seven Deadly Sins count off,

Lust, Gluttony,

Sloth and Avarice,

Wrath, Vanity,

And Envy, equals seven.

You have opened Pandora’s Box, you fool,

And now you pay the price,

For the Seven Deadly Sins have been released,

And now roam to entice.

So beware and watch out,

For around every corner,

A Sin is waiting in the dark,

To devour the helpless,

And it’s all your fault,

The fool who opened Pandora’s Box.

I dont know, how is it? Do you think it's good enough to put in an assignment for school?
