personality ¦ Onscreen, Dohyun is very cute and bubbly. She is very talkative and loves to tell jokes. One thing about her as well is that her reactions are really big. She's good with words and can easily turn a wrong comment into a right one. She also really loves skinship and often times, the one who initiates it. Sometimes, she appears impulsive and doesn't really think about what she says, but even that part of her is cute. She also likes to do body gags and slapstick. She's also very headstrong and opinionated. She's not the type to back down on a debate. All in all, onscreen, she just appears like a bubbly and lively girl.

Backstage, there really isn't much change in her personality. Dohyun is still the same cute and bubbly girl except she becomes less impulsive and more careful of her words. Dohyun also becomes a little bit quieter than how she is onstage. Sometimes, she becomes so quiet that people around her start wondering if she's still awake - most of the time, she's not. She's also a real sleepy-head. She's a very heavy sleeper that her parents created a special way to wake her up; they shout to her ear "The house is on fire," and she jumps up, awake. Dohyun is also uite paranoid and sometimes pessimistic - when she does something, she often thinks about things that might happen or that something bad might happen and she'll fail, although most of the time, they are petty thoughts. Dohyun is also really clumsy that she even trips on her own foot even though she's just walking. Although hardworking, when Dohyun's laziness kicks in, she moves really slow.

To her friends, Dohyun is an ear and a shoulder to cry on. Although younger than most of her peers, when a friend needs her, Dohyun becomes really mature and reasonable. However, Dohyun is the type to say what should be heard, not what is wanted. She doesn't like it when other people insult or hurt her family and friends, and if somebody does, they better be careful 'coz they might come in contact with Dohyun's fist.

To strangers, Dohyun is really awkward. Although she looks really sociable and extroverted because of her bubbly and lively personality, she really isn't good with socializing. She's so awkward that she just blurts out the first thing that comes into her mind when she sees the other person - sometimes, they're not good things.

Dohyun doesn't get mad easily - at least, that's what other people think. Dohyun is actually quite impatient and has a temper, but she learned to control it and just hide it inside her. She's the type who bottles up her emotions and just smiles at people when they ask if she's okay. The only time that she gets angry is when people talk bad about her family and her friends.

Just like most her age, Dohyun is also a big fan of kpop. She is a very big fan of M.I.B, INFINITE, BAP, Super Junior, SHINee and Girls' Generation.

background ¦ Dohyun was born on the 18th of October to two Korean parents. When Dohyun turned 5, her parents divorced and that was when she and her father migrated in Canada. She still kept in contact with her mother and would spend the summer with her back in Seoul. When they just moved to Toronto, she was teased a lot for being Asian. That was when she decided to learn the language and become fluent. When she decided to become an idol, she moved back with her mother in Seoul.
