I just found out that one of the kids in my high school has been dead for nearly 2 years. He's my age and wa sa year behind me in school and we were in a lot of classes together. At first, he seemed really loud and annoying, but after spending 4 years in the same space as him, he grew on me and while I never really had conversations with himm (I just didn't talk to boys back then), he was still a really great guy. Today, I passed a post on my facebook news feed on a page titled "R.I.P. *name*" and I froze, an overwhelming shock and dread as I clicked on the page and it all came crashing down on me. He'd been driving with 2 of his friends, and was trying to pass someone on the road, but he was going too fast and the car went airborn, crashing into trees and rocks. He and one of his friends died instantly; the other died at the hospital. I just... He was nineteen years old... far too young to die... I'm just sitting here crying, but I feel so late. In a month, it will be 2 years since the accident.

How could I not have known?....
