Breaking a 10 year old friendship :|

Sooo, I had a friend... a guy friend (let's call this guy... Steven), for more than 10 years and now just because i'm starting to get in a serious relationship with another guy ( let's call him... Alex) , which i really really like. Steven is breaking off our friendship because he thinks i choosed Alex over him. Which is not true, because i told Steven that i just wanted to be friends with him, yes we kinda have a little history but that's all in the past. 

It pisses me off that he just wants to break our friendship because he thinks i changed him, our friendship, for Alex. Which is not true and i've told him that my friendship with him would not change for anything. I just don't understand guys... nor girls. Human beings are so damn complicated!!! 

So after Steven said that he wanted to break our friendship... i spend almost one week without texting or calling him... and then he texts me... Alomst a full week and still no answer. You're definitely something. WTH?!?! he was the one that broke our friendship... so what is he expecting from me?! To answer what? Fin i won't be your best friend anymore? or what?! 

I just don't get it... I have more than enough with the problems i have with my father to acutally deal with Steven figthing over something like this :|

You guys have any comments? I'm about to loss my head with this and my last works from college.

give you my little history of 2 friends of mine .__. ok two girls I have been friends with for 4 years close to 5. But we had this little argument which I won't go into detail about it since I want to forget about it. I broke off our friendship with them cause I bluntly stated "I don't want anything to deal with you so leave me alone." just remember I said that u__u; ok 3 months later or about 2 months they stalked me... on AFF and my RL facebook... yeah thats right stalk -__-;; they have no lives so what ever I do they get annoyed about it and into my face about it when it doesn't deal about them so I end up blocking them but they still stalk me...Now I am perfectly fine, my advice since I know your position. If he broke it off first and he is texting to you. Ignore it, he wants attention i never had a friendship that lasted for 10 years it may be hard for you but it always works ignore him that doesn't work tell him or remind him that he broke it off first and not you just tell him gently not harsh like I did i hope it helps sorta but yeah i know your spot .__.
