» the ice block ver 2.0  — at a first glance, kim yeseul gives the impression of an ice block: her eyes are frozen, her face is dull, the room seems to be iced. she has the glare of two lances, barely anybody can stand those two eyes. her emotions are unreadable, everything about her screams the words "warning: perilous mystery" right at your face. on one side yeseul appears to be quiet, mysterious, unreadable and emotionless, but on the other hand, there is something dangerous about her: you never know what she means, says, thinks or even what she will do — she is unpredictable and hard to understand. many people mistake her quiet personality as cold, that's why this girl always had hardships with making friends. 

» three, two. one: kimchi!  — however, all this icy outer shell doesn't automatically mean that there is a princess inside. in fact, there is just another ice block inside. once you won her trust, which is incredibly hard to achieve, she is still very suspicous about every move you make. yeseul is hard to impress and one who barely shows any emotions. those who can actually educe a smile from her are allowed to feel like marathon winners — because yeseul doesn't laugh for everybody. 

» ayo whuddup, seul  — something interesting about yeseul is that many males tend to like her. not only on a fanboy base, but on a buddy base. even though yeseul feels quite uncomfortable around everybody, males tend to approach her more often than other girls. this might be because she is the rapper and also because she has a boyish side to her. growing up with an older brother only, she has this aura to her which makes it easier for guys to approach her. however, those usually never see a real girl in her but only some kind of brother. but brother or not — yeseul always has an open mind when it comes to rapping-, dancing- or even food competitions. because this girl is never satisfied with being the second place and will fight till the very end.

» like brother, like sister  — kim yeseul grew up in an average higher-class family in apgujeong, the more glamorous part of seoul. having a business man father who is usually away on overseas and a mother who is the manager of a huge management consultant group, yeseul and her brother grew up quite independent from their parents. while their parents were quite busy with their jobs, yeseul's brother, taehoon, decided to take care of his little sister. he kinda "raised" her like a boy: wearing baggy clothes, skateboarding, caps and sunglasses — taehoon always tried to help yeseul fit into his group. while she was more conservative about those things, she just decided to go with the flow.

» underground rappers, little dreamers  — what you should know about taehoon: he was/is a quite famous underground rapper in seoul. performing under his fake identity, rae, he already gained many fans way before he took his little sister to one of his gags. yeseul was only eleven when she first saw her brother rapping, but immediately liked it and decided to try it too. of course, taehoon teached yeseul how to rap and soon, at the age of fifteen, yeseul already had more fans than she actually expected.

» one-shot  —  like already mentioned, yeseul was a quite famous underground rapper at the early age of fifteen. when one of her brother's close friends suggested her to audition for a company, yeseul decided to choose sm entertainment, because it was currently the only one she knew. even though she tried to convince her brother to join her, he rejected, because taehoon wanted to remain as an underground rapper and because idol life would be much too stressful for him. as an older brother, he warned her about the consequences as idol — but yeseul tried it nevertheless. and as if it was fate, yeseul got accepted immediately. 

» trainee hardships  — trainee life might be one of the toughest periods in an entire idol life. staying up until three in the morning and going to school at seven was feeling like torture, but yeseul still carried on. she wanted to make her brother proud, because the one person she did all this was not only for herself, but for taehoon. even when she broke her ankle while dancing, she carried on. even when her voice instructor told her that she could be never be a singer with such a horrible voice, she carried on. and even when there was one girl who created an anti-fanclub against yeseul, she still carried on. yeseul was a trainee for about three years before she debuted in electra heart.

» since amber is one of the few female rappers of sm entertainment, yeseul found that it was quite easy to get along with her. she was quite charming when f(x) was taking a look at the current trainees which inspired yeseul alot. and since amber was someone who doesn't hesitate to help others, she tried to help yeseul out and always believed that she could make it someday.

» park chanyeol only lives once  — when you hear the two words "park chanyeol" what do you think about? that's right: happy virus. chanyeol isn't the yeolvirus for nothing, because everywhere he goes, he always carries a smile on his lips. his humorous side captured already many fangirls' hearts (and also baekhyun's), but his little trick doesn't seem to work on yeseul. chanyeol is more laid-back and casual, someone who is open-hearted and warm, bright and kinda clumsy too. he might be a little child at heart, but this is what makes it so fun to hang out with him — chanyeol seldom worries about anything he does, and well... yeolo, right?

How you met ⋮ 

» the most awkward minute of two lives  — it is somewhat a coincidence which made both of them meet. they used to train in different floors: while chanyeol was on the second floor, yeseul used to train on the first. it was thursday evening which simply meant voice instructing for yeseul, but she couldn't find her voice instructor, so she decided to go upstairs. in the exact same moment, a quite good-looking giant with side-swept bangs and a grin plastered on his face popped out of practice room one, right in front of yeseul. he showed off his biggest smile for this one girl, because she had something special about her which he couldn't explain at all, but it didn't work. he waited, waited that she would smile back at him — but it didn't happen. yeseul just gave him a half-confused, half-irritated look as he grinned at her for a minute, before she passed him without even saying hello or anything else. while this awkward minute let yeseul think that chanyeol was a complete grinning idiot, he couldn't help but to set himself a challenge: get this girl smile for him, no matter what.

» catch me if you can  — to describe yeseul and chanyeol's relationship: just like a cat-dog relationship. he tries his best to catch her, while she gives her best to run away from him. well, she doesn't hate or dislike him exactly, but it's his weird smile which scares the crap out of her, and the problem is that he smiles even bigger when she sees her. chanyeol tries to interact with her, talk to her, but yeseul always rejects him by giving him the cold shoulder. his feelings developed into a longing for her, the urge to make yeseul his own. but she can't deny her feelings either, even though she tries it. yeseul can't deal with her trembling heart every time she sees him or the way she bites her lip secretly every time she turns away from him. their friends point at them saying "yeol and seul sitting in a tree, k-i-s-s-i-n-g", but she is still too blind or too stubborn to accept her feelings, while chanyeol tries his best to melt her cold shell away.
