Of Author Notes and Ramblings #1
I didn't really think I'd ever use my blog on AFF, but I guess here am I writing it now. I don't even know what 'm doing. I just wanted to get a few ramblings and stuff about... well, my stories and other... stuff.
In regards to my story "Is It Me, Is It You," I kinda wanna drop the fic. The reason why, is because I just really don't feel like it'll go anywhere. I mean, in the beginning with "Slow Dance," it was meant to just be a two-shot and nothing more. There were no plans whatsoever to expand on it, and it was going to be left at just that one story. But then I got pressured from the readers to continue, and I felt bad because there aren't that many authors for the Tasty fandom. So, I was like okay then, a spin-off and that's it.
Guess what happened then? Some people were still insisting for a sequel. I was just planning to ignore those comments, but then I got a random burst of inspiration. That's actually how I came up with the title for the sequel, from the song "Is It Me, Is It You" by Maribelle Anes. Yeah, I know. A lot of my fics are inspired by throwback songs. Anyway, so I started writing the sequel, which I intended to keep fairly short (like 5-7 chapters). After giving it some more thought, I started to form an actual plot for the sequel. Hell, I have three different endings for it!
Now, you're probably wondering what the problem is... or you actually don't give a . Anyway, I have this tendency to drop long term fics. I have never finished a chaptered fic, ever. Even when I was on FF.net, I have never finished a single one of the chaptered fics I started. You see, I tend to lose all interest in things very quickly. Regardless of if it's a fic, book, roleplay, hobbies, or even a conversation etc., I'll just suddenly get bored and want to drop it. This is why I was initially hesitant to write the sequel in the first place. But yeah, getting to the point of this... oh god, I'm not even sure if I have one to make.
I wanna drop the fic, but I want you guys to read the ending. The problem with that, is I can't just write the final chapter be like, "Here, this is how it ends. I'm done." I need to write the chapters following up to it, for it to make any sense whatsoever. Gah! What am I going to do?
Oh well, I'll figure out something.
