Okay, for all authors on here.

Please, think about the logistics of what you are writing.

I don't know how many times I've read this:

We only stopped kissing from lack of oxygen, to come up for air, to get a breath, etc.

REALLY??

The people writing this have obviously never kissed anyone.

Or even really thought about it.

You put your mouths together.

As far as my knowledge of human anatomy extends, I'm fairly certain that most of us have the capability of breathing through our noses.

Unless you are so into it you are smashing your nose against the other person's face, you should still be able to breathe.

That's kinda gross dude.

But, whatever floats your boat.

Now you can achieve the same overall effect that these authors are going for by writing something like:

After a few moments, I realized I had forgotten to breathe.

Or ya know, something like that.

Otherwise, kissing doesn't really cause any sort of lack of oxygen.
