Just follow these simple steps :)
well for your display picture:
1- Click edit profile
2- Scroll down until you see Display Picture
3- You must get the image URL
NOTE: When using google chrome, click the image, right click and it should say copy image URL this only works if you use google chrome
NOTE: If your using Internet explorer, click the image, right click, scroll down and click properties, another small window should pop up showing you a link, copy and paste the link)
4- Copy and paste into the space
5- Click save
Putting a picture into a story or blog:
1- Get the image URL
2- 
3- A window should pop up and paste the URL link into the space ( you can also change the size of the picture by changing the Height and Width )
4- Click OK
