nicknames : HaHa (Nickname that Thirteen Members call her sometimes because of her silly laugh.) Seulie or Seulie Unnie (Thirteen Unnies and Dongsaeng's common nickname for her), Yook "Ham" Haseul (for her love of ham. Only calls her this when she eats it.)

→ Practice: It will be very easy to spot Haseul in Thirteen's dance practice videos. She is the one who always wears the red sweatpants for every practice! When she is training a loose t-shirt, sneakers, and her red sweatpants. She must wear loose and comfortable clothes to train well each day. Around the Pledis Building, too, you can spot her listening to her pink beats. ( 1 )
Other Days: She would usually wear sweaters, jeans, and sneakers. She likes to keep things simple. She keeps her down usually or just ties it up. 1 2 3 4

-One of the Thirteen Unnies have a habit of braiding hair when there's a head in front of her, but only Haseul would let her braid her hair and leaves it on for the rest of the day. 1 2 3
-Haseul has bad eye sight and her Unnies force her to wear her glasses. She wears them only at the dorm usually, composing or reading music, or studying.
On Stage: With the help of her coordi-unnies, her fashion on-stage is more unique. They give her an edgy look, wearing usually vests and a use of darker clothing and leather boots. Coordi-Unnies have given her a new look after debut, with a larger use of makeup and cutting her hair short and blonde, to give her a "rebel"-like look, which seems to fit her personality a bit more.
Being a almost barely a teen, she rarely has crushes. If one day, although, she finds some guy that she liked, she will never tell anybody. Although, not having any experience in love, she can never tell if a guy likes her. She will never notice either, even if it's obvious. If she likes a guy, she'll write about moments they interacted with each other. She locks her diary and hides it under her matress and never told her Unnies she has one.
She can also be the most talkative person you've ever met. Only if she were close to you though. Her Unnies say that her personality around them is way different because she's usually quiet to others. If you are a friend, or close to her, she will transform into a uncontrollable chatterbox-prankster with a hysterical laugh who you will rely on for your daily dose of stomach-tightening laughter and goofiness. She cut down on her pranking after she got scolded by the CEO when he found out that she did a horrible prank on one of the Seventeen members.
In America, her mother made Haseul learn the guitar, violin, and singing at the young age of ten. At age twelve, her discovery of Kpop influenced her to take dance lessons. When she turned 13, her family moved to Seoul as her Dad begun his Fried Chicken Business and where Haseul auditioned for Pledis Entertainment with the song, "60sec" By Kim Sunggyu. Right when her family moved to Seoul, her parents tried to teach her the Korean language. Her parents enrolled her to one of the local schools, where she is still currently attending with a few of her label brothers of Seventeen.
Ever since she lived in America, Haseul was a quiet person, so she had a hard time making friends at school. She found it hard to be alone at school everyday. Haseul decided to try being more outgoing and begun making jokes , which helped her make more friends.
Ever since she was young, she was known for her round, baby face and chubby cheeks. She was a bit of a chubby child, but she began to excercise. She says that her round cheeks will forever be permanent to her face.

fanclub name : My fans are "HAnsang-HAngsang" or "HaHa" too for short. "HaHa" is my nickname they call me. "Hansang-Hangsang" means "Us Always". Ne, my fans are always there to support me, and I'll always be there for them too.

I remember when we moved to Seoul, my mother and I used to walk around the city to get to know the place better. We would always pass by stores that showed Kpop Music Videos, and saw advertisements of upcoming auditions everywhere. Kpop fascinated me. [Pause]...I knew my mom, though. She and my father wouldn't let me audition, so I didn't even ask them. [Looks down at the floor] It took me a while to think about it.
It was not until a few weeks later...I-I called my cousin who was in town that week. Sungjae Oppa. Ne, you probably know him from the group, BTOB [smiles slightly]. Oppa was really the only one who supported me at first. When my parents were at work, he took me to a Cube Ent. audition. He wanted me to be in the same label so we can practice together. They didn't accept my audition, though, because of my young age. I was going to give up already, feeling guilty that my parents didn't know. I believe that moment after was destiny. Oppa and I got lunch at this cafe. Coincidentally, Sungjae saw his friends at the table across from us. [Grins brightly] It was...I think Nana, Lizzy, Aron, and Lime Sunbae that sat across from us. Oppa and them talked for a while and Sungjae told them about my audition. They invited us to the Pledis Building where I auditioned there.
I couldn't even tell my parents at first. I just wanted to wait for my results to come first. The next week came unexpected, I couldn't believe it. I actually passed... I had no idea how to tell my parents this. I told Sungjae Oppa first on the phone. I felt like a burden to him then because he came to our house so he can tell Umma and Appa for me. He convinced them let me train. Um..I'm really thankful for him. If it not for Sungjae Oppa, I wouldn't be here right now. [Message to Sungjae] Oppa, you've really helped me through tough times. I'm very thankful for you. I really want to make it up to you someday when we see each other again. Saranghamnida! [Bows]
So I just had to prank one more person to win. There wasn't many people left, so I searched all around the building. The last place I went was the rooftop, I went up there to drop a pie on someone's head below but I found somebody else I could prank up there. It was Unnie practicing by herself. I hid behind the wall before throwing my pie. [Smiles] But then I heard her sing and I thought she had a very pretty voice! She later found out that I was up there and I couldn't throw my pie anymore. So instead, I offered it to her to eat. We talked on the rooftop for a while and she gave me advice for singing. I lost the pranking competition [laughs], but it was fine because I made a friend that day.
personality :
-Wonwoo (or backup love rival) was always known as being the kind and sweet-hearted boy. Wonwoo always found Haseul's pranks and jokes hilarous and entertaining (especially because her main targets were usually his hyungs and not him). When Haseul had to mop the floors for punishment, Wonwoo watched her. He liked that she could make him laugh, and as he approach her to ask if she needed help, she became this shy girl. Haseul has never really met Wonwoo before until now. He found it cute how she suddenly turns into a quiet person. Also, when Soonyoung argues with her, Wonwoo would sometimes be the one to defend her, which Haseul found strange since Wonwoo and her were almost strangers to each other.

-(Love Rival): Hong Jisoo, or Josh, is the kind of person that you can quickly get along with. "He's a pretty chill guy," Haseul said. He's a pretty calm and mellow person, but he could make a few witty jokes from here and there that will make you crack up. He is also kind and caring, and a good friend to Haseul. Jisoo grew up in Los Angeles, CA and is still struggling to assimilate in Korea. But with a help of all the friends he made, he is improving. Him and Haseul enjoy each others' prescence, coming from the same home, they have common interests and have their own conversations together in English. Jisoo is one of Haseul's closest guy friends.

→ Love interest is very humorous as well, but he finds Haseul's pranks very annoying and immature. Only in his eyes, Haseul was a trouble-maker. He doesn't talk to her and encourages his other members not to either to avoid getting pranked. Haseul and him are not shy around each other, though. Haseul purposely speaks informally to him, even though he's older because she knows it annoys him so much. They always argue about the littlest things and people have to break them up.
They hate each other so much that Haseul pulled her most outrageous prank on him one day. This prank did not end the way she planned, though. Leaving him with an injury that sent him to the hospital. The CEO told her after that she had to quit pranking. Period...or she'll be kicked out of Pledis. Without pranking and jokes, Haseul became a more quiet and shy person around others. When he came back a few weeks after from the hospital with a cast, he discovered a new Haseul, who was more gentle and innocent. She apoligized to him sincerely with a plate of freshly baked cookies. He then developed a feeling for her after, not knowing if its good or bad. It took him a few days for him to adjust to the shy and sweet Haseul. He tries to pretend to hate her and still tries to act that he doesn't like her but her innocent personality makes him weak everytime he sees her. Still, he tells s to stay away from her because she still up to no good, but really says this so that none of the guys can go after her. He gets jealous and angry later, when the new member, JIsoo becomes friends with her.

→(Love Interest) Soonyoung was practicing his dancing by himself in the dance studio until Samuel ran in crying. This alarmed him. He immediately asked Samuel what the problem was but took a hint as he saw him soaked in water. Samuel explained how a girl put a bucket of water on the top of the door and it spilled on him. The guy became angry, wondering who would be this immature. Samuel sat on his lap on the corner of the studio. The girl slowly came in to apologize and handed Sam a towel and explained how the prank was meant for her friend and not him. Samuel quickly forgave her and left to change his clothes. The guy still was angry at Haseul because of her past pranks. They began to argue until Doogi PD stopped them and told Haseul to leave.

-(Love Rival): Being one of the last members to join his group, Jisoo was one of the last of Seventeen to have met Haseul. Being from the states, he still had trouble with Korean. He found it refreshing whenever he could speak to someone in his own language. When he first saw Haseul, he thought that she was his age. They first met during training, they were both in the same guitar class. The instructor paired the students up to practice the duet that they were working at the time. Jisoo was paired up with Haseul. He remembered one of his 17 members (Haseul's love interest) warned him that she was up to no good, but didn't see anything bad about her, she was actually a cool and funny.
At the discovery of them both being from the states, they quickly became good friends. They became two-magnets during training and talk to eachother all the time in English as no one around them understands. Also, after the prank that the 17 guys pulled on him on his first day, He likes to tag along with Haseul in some of her pranks to get back at them, but they later get punished and have to mop the floors together. They both like playing music while they mopped the floors. The janitor left only one light on for them so they wouldn't mess with the other switches on the wall, so the room was dim. Jisoo played "Ordinary People" by John Legend, it was both of their favorite songs and they both sang along with the song.

-(Back Up Love Rival) Wonwoo will never forget the first day he met her. It was about eleven at night and all the members were about to go home after a long day of practice. Wonwoo wasn't the best dancer compared to some of the other members in his group so the dance instructor recomended him to stay for another hour to practice. While the guys headed out, Wonwoo walked back to the dance room. He froze at the door, noticing that somebody was in there. The lights were dim and a girl was alone, mopping the floors. Her music played as she sang along when she mopped. Instead of practice, he just watched her and listened to her voice. Every day, he asked if he could stay after practice to "improve on his dancing more" to watch the girl mop the floor.
→The scenes above would make me happy :)
-Soonyoung sees Haseul mop the floors throughout the whole Pledis Building and sees how tired she is. He secretly felt sorry for her and lied , nagging her that she's mopping the floor wrong and he takes the mop and shows her how to do it correctly, just to let her take a break from her punishment chores.
-Soonyoung tries to confess to her by giving her one of his earbuds to listen to while they sat next to each other. He played "Joah" by Jay Park on his Ipod as they listened together to show that he liked her, but because of a long day of practice, Haseul fell asleep in the beginning of the song and her head fell to his shoulder.
→Soonyoung and Haseul are forced to practice their vocals together and later find out that they were locked in the small practice room. And there are so many flies swarming around. She is freakishly afraid of any bug, but Soonyoung keeps nagging her to help him kill them and hands her an air-freshener spray to poisoning the bugs as he tried to squish them with his hands. { !! }
