Relentlessly Productive

This blog is dedicated to my poptart :)

She is writing an exo 100-word drabble series and I think this blog post will encourage her and anyone who stumbles upon this (including Keeper).

I have been linking blog posts from publication coach Daphne Gray-Grant for years now. And I'm just going to share her recent post. I suggest you browse through previous entries, you'll learn a lot. (I was just reminded that the past tense has nine forms, lol.)

The main point of her Tuesday entry is this:

"Be relentless with your writing. Just like Jonathan Mann is with his music."

Mann writes one song a day. He says, "20% and 70% is mediocre."

“One of the biggest benefits is just practice. If you want to get better at something, the more you do it, the better you get. The more you make, the more good stuff you write by virtue of pure statistics.”

Grant and Mann advises to practice everyday for that amazing 10%.

So, poptart, keep writing.

Your drabble series is definitely a good start.

Now, if only I could update...
