I don't get it...it's confusing & my brain hurts.

Hello everybody! First of I wanna say Thank you so much to all the people here who wished me a Happy Birthday! Because of you guys, my birthday less and you guys caused me to cry :')

 

Back to the topic! Okay so I see different types of stories (should I call them that?) on here. We got the graphic shops (or any kind if shops), the actual fanfiction stories, there's others that I can't quite remember -____- , then we got the Role Play ones.

 

All the other types make sense to me but yet...I don't really understand the role play thing. I'm not bashing anybody who has a role playing thingy, I just don't simply understand it.

 

Like why do you do it? I'm a weirdo who lives in a hermit crab so I don't really get them. Okay so I heard of the ones that involve . (It's basically typing out what your doing because you can't LAID YOURSELF.) but I still don't get the WHOLE CONCEPT.

 

QUICK STORY TIME! : Okay! So I was just on a random chat website because I was bored AS because I didn't have a phone to text my pals & my sister was being a and not talking to me. Ugh. ANYWAY! People started talking to me & I was like LEAVE ME ALONE YA AS PEDOS! But they didn't get the hint (sick bastards..) but then these people messaged me asking asking about rp & I was like "What the hell is that?" And they didn't tell me! SOOOOOO~

then this guy asked me to do one so I was like Pft sure why not I don't even know what the hell it is. But then later I was like WAHHHHH! WHY IS HE TYPING THAT HE'S GONNA TAKE OFF MY PANTS! GET THE AWAY FROM ME.

So from that day..I suspected that all role playing stuff was like that. So I get myself questions for y'all!

 

#1: What is role playing REALLY?

#2: So I see that the people are celebrity, uzzlzangs etc, if your a boy can you be a girl? Or if your a girl can you be a boy? (Im a curious gal folks.)

#3:  Can you please explain the concept of yours? Like say I happened to drop by (I stopped to look at a couple coz I was curious) and I was like HOLY . JAY PARK. GAHHHHH❤❤ But I KNOW I'm not a guy, I'm clearly a girl. But are girls able to be guys? Coz I seen some people ask like (for example) "Oh! Can I be ...G-DRAGON..from BIGBANG?" And Im like..b-but..your a girl..I think..

#4: I love 2ne1, Jay Park, BigBang, IU & Shinee...just wanted you guys to know❤❤❤ Bahahahaha (:

 

 

SO! Who wants to be my best friend and explain this to my confused mind? Again, I'm not bashing/ hating on anybody who does or owns a role play shop or does one, I just want understand. THANKS EVERYBODY! Y'all deserve some Bacon. Coz it's good & tasty. (;

1. Roleplaying is exactly what the name suggests. It's sort of like playing a video game. The roleplay usually has some sort of storyline set up (unless it's a , those don't have as engaging of a storyline because they're mainly for XD), or just some alternate universe. You make your own character and follow your own storyline, or your storyline is guided by the one the roleplay gives you. Usually, you just pick a face claim (the real life person that you're pretending to me) and you go by that person's name and appearance only. You don't have to act exactly like the real person; they're your own character that you decide as you roleplay. In some rp's, you can change the person's name too and just use their face, but most rp's (roleplays) use the actual name. (Ex. If you're roleplaying as Jay Park, most rp's will just name you "Jay Park". In others, you might make up a name for him)
2. You can be a guy or a girl, your real life gender doesn't matter in character. Some rp's only have one gender, but those are usually or yuri s. NOTE: Just because it's a , doesn't mean there is no storyline. You can have an awesome plot and still it up
3. I don't have any rp's, but I'm in like 15.... The concepts vary. A few of them are s, but they have a storyline.
Ex. You are a mentor or trainee at a school for vamps, werewolves, angels, or humans who are trained in the art of , basically... you do your own thing from there.
Ex. In a safe haven for supernatural beings, you are a witch, vampire, lycan, hybrid (half vamp, half wolf) or a mortal, who has either come to this mansion to keep away from human society, or because you're a human that was forced to come because you found out. It's a too.
's: An academy where some are supernatural beings (you decide angel, demon, etc, with superpowers). A world ruled by vamps that take humans as slaves. (Can be a vamp, human, or vampire hunter human)

Hmm.. I'll try to explain in words as much as possible since I at explaining lol.

Role-playing refers to taking a role of an existing character or person and acting it out with a partner taking someone else's role, often involving different genres of practice. Kinda like playing make-believe when you were a little kid.

In fanfics, typically what people do is they get together in groups and play celebs/ulzzangs they like from a fandom. Sometimes it's in the same fandom or sometimes it's a mixed community of celebs/ulzzangs from all sorts of fandoms.

For the ual part of it.. Think of it as ting or, the ever so "famous", cyber ..

As for the gender, I'm honestly not sure.. But this is kinda like acting on stage or in movies.. So I guess they can just assume the role of a person who is either their own gender or of another gender and make it their own.. I guess..

But tbh, a person who is into role-playing would be better at explaining than I am.. Hehe.

in the world of roleplay, anything is possible. of course you can pretend you're a dud, people do that all the time. you can make yourself a shy introverted geek, but with that person's outer appearance (unless the roleplay rules stated that youre an idol)
