Exam

A random blog again.

Just to share my experience.

Today I had a language lesson before went home from school.

The teacher was such a nice old woman. She always loved my class and cared us like her own child.

She usually never came late to our class.

But today, we waited her for almost 40 minutes. Some of the students started to play around with the other, cause it was only last 20 minutes before the school bell rang.

As we played and fooled around, the door suddenly opened. And finally, she appeared.

She greeted us like usual, then apologized to all of us that she came late.

One of my friend asked her, why she came late.

She suddenly sighed and sat down on her chair. Her face wasnt as cheer as usual.

We all got confused and asked her whats wrong. And she finally told us a story.

Some days ago, on 15th until 18th April, all the high schools in my country held a very big and important exams for students in 3rd grade of high school. After that, they would be graduated from high school.

But actually, some weeks before that important day, one of my 3rd grade seniors died.

They said she had a brain cancer. And she left in the 3rd day of the exam's rehearsal.

She was a science student.

Everyone in my school got shocked and sad, of course. But they could do nothing except to pray for her.

And finally, that important big day came. The day that would decided my seniors' futures.

They surely already prepared theirselves. Walked into their rooms with nervous, and sat on their seats (which was already organized by the commitee).

In my country, there are some rules about that big exams. One of them is, when the students were doing their exams, people who would guide them in their rooms and watch them, should be a different teacher from another school.

So at that time, there were two teachers from 7th High School, guiding a classroom named 10-G. (my school is 5th High School)

As the bell rang, signing that the exams had already started, one of that stranger teacher counted how many students in that classroom.

She counted with her fingers carefully, watching them one by one. And she had 20 students in that classroom, with all of the seats had been filled up. So simply, she thought that nobody was absent that day.

During the progress of the exam, the other stranger teacher gave the signature paper to all of the students. To make sure again that no one was absent. Then after finished, he got back to his watching table with the other female stranger teacher.

As he gave the signature paper to the female stranger teacher, they both got confused.

The female stranger teacher counted with her finger and eyes, and she found 20 students were sitting on their seats.

But, the male stranger teacher counted with his signature paper, and he found that ONLY 19 students wrote their signature.

They both got really confused.

As they watched the whole seats carefully once again, they found one empty table at the corner.

They walked closer to it and saw the name.

"Meta"

They of course didnt know that student, because they were not the teachers who teached our high school.

So they searched her name and asked about her to some of the teachers here.

She was the student who died right before the exam day.

And that empty seat, belong to her...
