First and Last

The first 100 words I've written here in AFF:

It was October 2007, the end of the first semester of the SY 2007-2008. Pau just finished her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in only three and a half years. Now on vacation, she spends most of her time catching up to the tv series she missed. Pau was watching her favourite anime series, Detective Conan inside her room, when her phone rang.

“Hello” She said as she turned down the volume of the TV.

“Pau, It’s Mamay” It was that kind, familiar voice, one that she seldom hears and misses a lot.

“Mamay!! You called!" She jumped up from her bed, surprised.

The last or most recent 100 words I've written here in AFF:

His heart swelled at those simple comments. He can no longer continue his life like this. It just won't do anymore to stay months, even weeks, away from his family.

Changes will have to be made. For now, he had to set depressing thoughts aside and focus on the "now".

Taking a deep breath, he smiled tenderly at his sons, who are clueless as to what was running inside his mind. "After you have eaten, we'll take a bath and then play. How's that sound?"

"Pawk?" Zixin asked, chubby cheeks and lips, smudged with his breakfast.

"I have a better idea," he winked and they raised their hands on the air, squealing in delight.

Observations:

I now put a comma between the last word of a dialogue and the quotation mark.

I still have issues with verb tense consistency.

The first letters of the words in my titles are now in capital letters.

In terms of style and voice, I don't see any difference. I sound the same.

OTL At least I improved a bit... I guess.

if you put up a story for 'drabbles of 100 words' I'd surely want to read them

I wonder, if I could do it, too hahaahahhah
