AU Meme / Fanfiction: SooSica - “Yes, No, Maybe, So..”

“Do you love me?”  Sooyoung asked casually, her desperation muffled into a whisper.  It was the same question asked so many times before, and usually Jessica would throw in a no as a joke.  Only now, it was masked with insecurity - the sort that both were afraid to deal with.  The one that demanded the truth.

Jessica’s tongue knotted into silence.  Her head was still comfortably resting on Sooyoung’s slightly shivering shoulder.  

A ‘yes’ was crippled by fear and doubt.  A ‘maybe’ lingered between guilt and anxiety.  But a ‘no’, that was just a pitiful lie.
