Anxiety, Human Rights and School.

Little rant about anxiety, human rights and school.

I wonder if I can ever bring up didaskaleinophobia in History.

It would be fun to argue that students also have Human Rights, and one that we all jotted down in class was 'No Torture'.

Although some people might take advantage of this, some people are simply bad at doing orals because they have a deep rooted anxiety, and speaking to a class (or what they think to be a large crowd) is something very, very scary.

For example, ESL kids and their assessments a a level or so easier, because they're learning and improving themselves. What about people with anxiety?

Sometimes all students aren't equal in skills, and making certain people, like people with very bad anxiety do Orals as a compulsory thing is pretty much torture, because not only are you making them uncomfortable, nervous and even more anxious, you're also in a way deepening their anxiety, and therefore making their condition worse. Everyone deserves a fair chance.
