Personality: She's very outgoing and talkative, even around people she doesn't know. She tends to be on the curious side and asks questions about almost anything. She is never afraid to speak her mind, although she is somewhat self-conscious about what people may think. Occasionally she speaks negatively about things due to the fact that her mood is somewhat ever-changing depending on the environment she's in and the situation at hand. Shinleigh is also hyperactive and although she appears as someone who can never calm down, she can be down-to-earth and understanding. She's a little stubborn, and especially has problems with talking about how she feels and her personal life. She is also self-conscious about the way she looks and is affected by the smallest negative remarks, even if she might not show it. Instead of showing her distress, she tends to cover it with a cheerful facade so that people don't have to worry about her (she doesn't like people worrying over her because she doesn't want to become a burden). She tries to act calm and cool about a lot of things, mainly in sticky situations, but sometimes she can act like a rebellious child due to her hyperactive behavior.

Family past: Some can say that Shinleigh was an odd child when she was younger (and still is). Yes, she had loving parents, and an especially loving brother, but out of everyone in the family she was the odd. Not because of her over-energetic behavior, but because she was rather rebellious for her age. She did get good grades in school, but she didn't like listening to her parents and she would always get in trouble in class, racking up almost hours in detention. Her brother, being the angel he is, always said for to to never conduct herself in such a juvenile way, and although she really wanted to listen to him and do just that, she always ended up doing the opposite. Unlike what he thought, she was getting herself in detention on purpose so that she could use the spare time to practice her dancing. She wasn't sure if her parents would support her becoming an idol, in fact, they always lectured her in how she should become a surgeon or a lawyer, or something of that sort. She, however, wanted to do something that combined the two things she enjoyed: music and dancing. She was born in San Francisco, thus English was her first language. While away to South Korea on a holiday trip, her rather had auditioned to become a trainee at JYP Entertainment and once he made the cut, she, her brother, her sister, and mother permanently moved to South Korea. Seeing as to her brother successfully passed his audition, she decided that it was her turn to try and audition. She practiced everyday, while balancing out her studies and her loved ones. Her mother soon found out that she was planning on becoming an idol just like he brother, and fully supported her, although she had doubt when she first found out. Her sister and brother also support her, and every once in a while she dances with her brother if his schedule is free (he is a back-up dancer, but is still very content with what he does). She loves her family, and will do anything for them, even if it means giving up her dreams. Until it comes down to that, though, she'll continue doing what she's been doing.
