► Hard as rock, strong as steel - Even though she has an older sister, she has been hanging out a lot with boys since she was a kid and that led her having a tomboyish character. She choose video games rather than books, or playing baseball rather than going to salon. Like a boy, once she sets her heart on something, her mind won't get easily shaken. Sadly, it could be her strength, but also her weakness. She is quite hard-headed and stubborn, that's why she doesn't like listening to other's saying. Such as when people told her to behave more feminime, she doesn't really care about it and keeps doing what she likes to do. Sounds stubborn right? But when she thinks she really needs an advice, she will make the first move and go to people she trusts.

► Ask them why they love me - She might not be the loudest one or the chit-chatters in the group, but she likes to make the atmosphere brighter with her jokes. It sounds lame most of times, but the face that she made when no one is laughing at her joke is the funniest point. ◄ story of her life - 

► She used to play with boys a lot when she was growing up. She always played with the boys after school, because her  girl friends were mostly went straight back home. She played outside until sun set, and went home after getting scolded by her older sister. She was spending her child-hood happily without any problems to worry.

She lived in a pleasant and wealthy family, with her parents and her sister. Her father was a well-known architect, and her family's earning was mainly from her father, while her mother was just a house-wife. Unfortunately, the happy moments didn't last long as her father passed away when she was twelve years old. It was a breakdown to her family members, but they didn't give up just because of that. With spirits and positive thinking they had, her family was able to survive.

Her mother opened a small snack bar, and her older sister, who was eighteen that time, worked as a part-timer. Gyeoul who was still kid back then could only cried as she always remembered about her beloved father. She was terribly sad,  but one day, she stopped crying after her encounter with someone. Someone who was able to lifted her chin up and moved forward, and that was one particular boy who later be her closest guy friend. It was a big turn-point of her life, and even though it was unfortunate, she decided to think positively and learned many things from that.

Eight years after that, now she is studying architecture at college, following her father's footsteps. She takes her study seriously in purpose to be successful and make her mother and sister proud.

► father - Seo Joowon - 47 - dead - architect - wise, kind, sociable, funny, loved by kids - Gyeoul loves her father the most. Joowon tends to spoil her, and likes to buy everything she wants. 49 is the age when he was dead, so now he is around 55.

► mother - Seo Gyuri - 53 - alive - owns a snack bar - cheerful, likes nagging, tidy, great at cooking, loves children - She is a typical asian mother. She is the first person to nag when Gyeoul does something wrong. She often scolds her tomboyish behaviour and gives her advice how to act like a lady (which Gyeoul never listens). Even though Gyeoul hates her mother's nag, she always feels sorry whenever she got caught in a problem.

► siblings - 

► older sister - Seo Joohyun (Seohyun) - 25 - alive - kindergarten teacher - hard working, motherly, responsible, smart, too cautions - Seohyun is her only sibling, but Gyeoul thinks it is still awkward around her sister. It is because Seohyun is the exact opposite of her, and she is very independent, ever since they were children. Sometimes Gyeoul get jealous of her amazing sister, so she has been trying hard to be success and surprass her.

► the mother-like figure - Because the mother-like figure is wise and mature, she often goes to her for advices. Their relationship is like a mother-daughter, and she really respects the mother-like figure.

► the artistic wallflower - Gyeoul often teases her because what the artistic wallflower does is always study, study, and study. Talking back, the wallflower says that Gyeoul is more stupid than elementary schooler because she doesn't remember multiplication. However, they share the same hobbies (drawing), so even though they fight quite often, they often go out together, find a good spot to draw together. They're like tom and jerry.

► the outgoing princess - Before, Gyeoul really hated the outgoing princess's aegyo because it was annoying for her. But instead of stopping, the princess were all excited and did more and more aegyo to Gyeoul until she gave up and forced to say she will happily accept the aegyo.

► the moody ballerina - She was the most awkward with the moody ballerina. Because the ballerina often put a sad face and sighed over her problems, Gyeoul didn't really know how to act around her. But after Gyeoul went through hard times, she was starting to understand the ballerina's feelings.

► the independent angel - She is very comfortable around the independent angel because their minds and thoughts are mostly the same. We could say that the angel is her partner in crime. When they are joking with each other, sometimes their words are harsh and sarcastic to the point that people think they are fighting.

► friends - Kim Himchan - 20 - He is one of her friends who has been together since high school, and continued to the same college, same major. Himchan makes a perfect laughable combination with Gyeoul since he is funny and dorky. Besides that, Himchan is very out-spoken and brave. He knows well both Gyeoul and Yixing.

► Even though Yixing is not the type who loves to be under spotlight, many girls are secretly crushing on him because of his gentle nature and love of sport. He respects elder and is kind to everyone, plus his dimple make him the sweetest guy on the earth. Seriously, it is difficult to hate or take a blame on this guy. In the other hand, many people said that Yixing is funny. Well, he doesn't think like that, but once he make a joke, people starts to cracked up, and it's true. 

◄ how they met -

► They both knew each other since middle school. To be precise, their first encounter was sometime in winter, eight years ago, when snow fell. The twelve years old Gyeoul was crying on a bench by herself, and Yixing, who had just moved to Seoul, accidentally saw her. Without thinking much, Yixing approached her and asked why she was crying. It only made Gyeoul remember his deceased father again and the cry got harder. While stuttering, Gyeoul told Yixing about her father and how much she loved him. Surprisingly, rather than consoled her, Yixing scolded her and told her to stop crying. He said that she was still better than him, who had lost both of his parents. The story was his mother and father were dead by traffic accidents back then when he lived in China. Yixing was taken care by his Korean uncle and moved to Busan three years ago, then later moved to Seoul that morning. Without saying anything else, Yixing gave Gyeoul a napkin and he left.

Coincidentally, weeks later, they met again on their first day of middle school. They studied in the same school and it was a chance for Gyeoul to give the napkin back. That time, she thanked him for scolding her and made her realize the truth and moved on. Maybe because they shared the same feelings of getting left by their loved ones, they gradually became close friends.

Because her name is Gyeoul and they meet in winter, Yixing keeps calling her 'Dongmei' (a Chinese name of winter girl). Only Yixing calls her this, so when Gyeoul hears someone calls Dongmei, she knows for sure that it is Yixing.

► he - Yixing sees her like a sister, well, maybe more than a sister. Even though Gyeoul is tomboyish and definitely not weak, somehow Yixing still wants to protect her. Whenever she has a problem, Yixing is always there, listen to her story. He voices his opinions, but whether he will console or scold, it depends on the problem his bestfriend has.

► she - Gyeoul is still her usual self, being clumsy and lame jokester like always. However, she sees Yixing as her closest friend that she really treasures. He always come to Yixing to get advice because she knows, Yixing is the most honest man on the earth.

► Gyeoul didn't see Yixing more than her closest friend, when the boy was the opposite. Yixing secretly developed a special feelings for her, and wished they could be more than just a close friend. Gyeoul was the reason why Yixing rejected all the confessions he got from the girls, but sadly, his love interest didn't know that. Even though Yixing hugged her, told her that he will protect her forever, she still had no single clue. Then high school came to end, and they were seperated as Yixing had to go back to continue study in China. Until the second he boarded, he was still unable to confess.

Two years later, he came back to Korea for a visit and a plan to confess. But rather than a confession, he did something more that he regreted to the core. He broke his own promise. A promise to protect her forever.

► Her reason of running away is embarrassment about her pregnancy. Does she tell her mother and sister about her pregnancy before leaving without a word? - No, she doesn't. Her biggest dream is to make her family proud, and she doesn't want to crush that by saying that she is pregnant. She is scared, even she can't and doesn't want to imagine what will their reactions be.

► What was your five best friends' reactions to your pregnancy? - It was the most nerve-wrecking silence ever. The moody ballerina, the artistic wallflower and the outgoing princess were looking at each other awkwardly, wasn't sure how they should react. The independent angel was about to scream in disbelief, but the mother-like figure stopped her first and consoled the dubious tomboy. She asked in a calm tone, how it could be done and all the details which make the dubious cried again.

► What gender would she want her baby to be? What would she name it? - She wants it to be a boy, and the name is Himchan. The same name of her friend, but her actual purpose is that to wish her baby will become strong, and able to endure every hardships he will get on his life. Him-chan.

► When did she tell 'the caring best friend' about her pregnancy? Did she tell him that he is the father right away? - No, she doesn't. It tooks a long time for her to cool down and let him know. The reason is that she is afraid. Afraid that Yixing will dump her and leave her. But to be honest, the most terrifying thing is that... she's afraid Yixing will hate her.

► What was his reaction? - Of course, Yixing is silent for a second. But later, he says something opposite with her imagination, like "Then I'll be the greatest father on the earth." or something cheesy (lol). Then he gets curious and keep asking how's the baby, what genre, etc.
