My Sanctuary

As we live in this modern world, most people find it hard to stop and rest due to their busy schedule. In fact, I used to be one of those people, until by chance I saw a peaceful place, which eventually became my sanctuary.

I was riding a bicycle alone at a subdivision where my grandpa lives that day. As I was cycling, I saw lots of huge houses. Each of these houses seemed to be talking to each other, as if, boasting to one another. And yet, as I cycled further, I came to a stop at a place with only three or four houses, and these houses weren’t as big as the previous ones. Just a few meters away was a swamp filled with water lilies, and the ground was filled with tall grasses. The sun was already setting that time, and I’ve never seen a sunset that beautiful. The sky was orange, and looking at the sun didn’t hurt my eyes.

I shouted words without actual meaning such as “uwaaaaaa” “nyuuuuu” “raaaaaawr” “kyaaaaaa” and many others. The sounds echoed back at me and I actually felt kind of relieved. Whenever I think the world is fighting against me, I do not hesitate to visit this place and throw my problems back to the world through shouting. Since then, that place became my secret haven.
