April 8, 2009 - AFF is created.

September 26, 2010 - dream_keeper88  logged in for the first time.

Believe it or not, someone was already lamenting how different the 'Old AFF' was from the 'October 2010 AFF' in the tagbox. She even posted a blog how the newcomers (including Keeper) 'ruined' the site. It was only a year and a half and apparently, major changes already took place. 

Change is inevitable. It is the only permanent thing in this world, aside from God.

So now that we are approaching AFF's fourth anniversary, AFF has gone through a whole lot of changes, in terms of appearance, features, number of users and fanfics.

Let me tell you about what I remember in 2010:

· DBSK is the most popular tag. But Jonghyun and SHINEE weren't far behind. When Jonghyun dated Shin Sekyung, Taemin ousted him. (Did you know that there is a Jonghyun x Sekyung fic here created even before the real Jonghyun and Sekyung dated? And Keeper was subscribed to it. Lol)

· Featured stories are mostly SHINEE, some SJ and DBSK. But the plots and writing style are still the same of what we see now. Hahaha! Except that there were no fact fics before.

· The tagbox. It is where we chat and sometimes, where writers advertise.

· The chatbox is the haven of RPers. 

· It is not always peaceful. Before I even came here, an epic karma battle took place. Trolls visit the tbox.

· There are a lot of users questioning/criticizing how the feature system works. They are not satisfied, obviously, because it is the same story or author that/who gets featured. 

· Matured fics are featured in the front page. And there is this one mature fic writer who always gets featured. Her fic was plagiarized and her faithful minions cyber bullied the perpetrator. Of course, not everyone was happy about it and decided to let their opinions be known in the comments section. Eventually, all the mods got involved. It was a circus. Our senior mod resigned. This happened early 2011 but I believe there were other issues before it all blew up.

Aside from the features added, nothing changed much really lololololol

Users still complain about featured stories or the algorithm. Users still advertise...now on walls. Come to think of it, peace, perhaps, lasted only in the first few months after the site was created. 

Because when I got here, there were bashers and plagiarizers already.

Don't worry guys, you only missed the tagbox.
