Sehun walked through the school hallway, searching for you. It will be your first anniversary and he always wanted to make it a special day for both of you. He took a deep sigh as he slowly opened the door knob right in front of him. He opened it slowly and saw you, sitting on a wooden chair while laying your head on top of the desk. You seemed unhappy and depressed. He approached you and slowly wrapped his arms around you. He could feel something different inside you. You have a problem, and he knows it. He knows you so well.
You struggled in his secure hug, asking him to let go. He got confused to your sudden action. He never thought you'd act like that all of a sudden, especially at that day, your first anniversary.
"Daeyeon, what's the problem?" He asked you with a pleasing voice.
You suddenly felt your knees going numb. You were in a state of great dilemma.
"S-sehun..." You mumbled softly as you try to hold back your tears, but you failed.
"What's the problem, Daeyeon-ah?" He asked once more.
"L-let's break up..." You said softly, but quiet loud enough for him to hear it.
"What?! But why? Did I do something unpleasant to you?" He asked once more, with a pleading voice which made guilt rush through your veins.
"I-i...." You stuttered, making him more nervous.
"I-i just fell out of love Sehun. I love someone else. He's better than you. He loves me more than you do, he takes good care of me...he --"
"Stop it. Stop it Daeyeon. Now tell me who's the guy?"
"It's none of your business. Now get out of my way, now!" You exclaimed as hard as you could and rushed outside. You ran as fast as you could without even knowing where you are heading to.
"I-im sorry Sehun...i just dont want to hurt you. I think this is much better than telling the truth to you." You cried hard while running even faster as if you're in a 400 m sprint challenge.
You were diagnosed to have a brain tumor and you only have a few years to live. 3 more years to be exact. You don't want to hurt Sehun by telling the truth so you decided to break up with him, even though it hurts. At least, it's the best thing you could do.
After that day, you never communicated with him, nor went to his house. It's like, you're about to start a new beginning and forget everything. You never seen him. All you heard was that their family moved to Canada to send Sehun to a pretigious school to study medicine. Meanwhile, you stayed in Korea, did some medications and continued with your life.
You went back to the hospital and to your surprise, the doctor said that your tumor is becoming severe. He even told you that you only have a few years to live. Probably 3 years to be exact. You decided to do enjoyable things and remember happy moments before you finally rest and take a good break. You went to your room, started arranging things and something caught your attention. It was a photo of you and Sehun together, eating an ice cream with an edited picture of the great pyramid as the background. You crumpled it, hoping that you would forget everything in a blink of an eye. But it was too hard. Forgetting someone you truly love is pretty hard.

You finally graduated and finished your course Education. Finally, it was a successful one. You were directly promoted with a high rank because they based your standards with the grades you got when you were in college. Everything went well, you love teaching and did everything. During those times, you met a friendly guy. He was always with you whenever you go. You asked him to stay away from you, but he never did, instead, he kept on following you more. You got annoyed and released out foul words at him yet it wasn't enough.
"Daeyeon, why can't you see me?"
"Stop. Just go away."
"Why push me away? Huh? Im single and so am I. Whats the problem with that?"
"Do dont know anything so please, just step out of that door and leave. I dont want to see you again."
"I dont believe you. I wont stop unless you tell me what were you hiding."
"No."
"Come on. I told you I wont stop."
"For God's sake Luhan! I have a brain tumor and it's getting severe. Anytime this year or a year later, you wont see me again! That's the truth. Satistied? Huh? You know I liked you back but I just can't be with you. I dont want to leave you hanging...."
He pressed his thumb on both of you cheeks and wiped away your tears.
"I know someone. He's a great friend of mine in Canada. He's a specialist on this and I know he can cure you Daeyeon-ah. Just trust me. I'll help you with everything, with the medications and stuffs. I promise I will..because I love you." He pressed his soft pinky lips at yours, which you responded back right away.
You agreed with him. After all, you still want to continue with your life and experience more unforgettable moments. You two became a couple and you were so happy 'cause you eventually forgot about Sehun.
"Do you see that big blue star?" You pointed out your finger up above the dark sky, filled with bright and twinkling stars.
"Yeah? Whats with it." He asked as he took a quick glance at you and pulled you closer to his warm body.
"That's my mom." You smiled. "She told me before she died that if she'll leave this world, she'll become a star to guide me throughout my darkest hour." You added, making him depressed. He knew what you were thinking of. "They say only 0.5% of people with brain tumor out of 100% survives..."
"Daeyeon, shhh.. Stop saying those things. I told you you'll get better soon. I promise you that." He plastered a warm smile on his face and gave you a small peck on your forehead. You spent the rest of the night with him. Luhan never failed to make you happy.
Present year
"Daeyeon, my friend arrived last Monday and I contacted him already. He told me we'll have to go to Seoul Medical Hospital and approach him. He'll do everything he could help."
"Really? That's great then. I'll decline all my schedules so that we could consult immediately." You said.
"Nah, dont worry. I already informed your secretary about it. Let's go?" He pecked your nose and grabbed your hand. You both went inaide his car and then he drove towards the said hospital. You both walked hand in hand towards Mr. Oh's office. You both entered the office, suddenly, your heart was pounding so fast. You've never felt so nervous before, until this time.
"Bro! I mean DOC, it has been a long time, isn't it?" Luhan approached his friend with friendly hug and hand shake.
"Come on. Just call me Senshine. That's what you used to call me when we were still young." He chuckled.
"Alright then, Senshine. So you got married already, didnt you?"
"What?" He laughed. "I told you I'm still waiting for her." He answered.
"I see, someone is still not over his past. Anyways, meet my girlfriend, Daeyeon. She's the one I was talking about."
Sehun looked through your papers.
"Ms. Daeyeon Jung ......" He looked up at you and so you did. You were both staring at each other deeply as if both of you were looking for some precious golds deep inside each other's eyes.
"Your girlfriend?" Sehun asked.
"Yes, she's my girlfriend.. luhan answered.
Sehun felt uneasy. The one he has been waiting for, was actually the one his bestfriend was dating. There was an awkward atmosphere as he asked questions about your condition. You've been speechless during the consultation and Luhan was forced to answer everything. Finally, check up ended and you were adviced to but the medicines he recommended and he asked you to come back and have a check up after 3 months.
"Dont worry Daeyeon..i'll do everything to help you." Sehun mumbled as he started researching more about brain tumors. After all, his feelings for you never changed. You are his inspiration, that's why he got a high degree in medicine.
It was the day for your second check up. You asked Luhan to go with you but he excused himself due to important meetings at his office. He promised to go there right after all his conferences so you decided to go ahead. There, you saw Sehun once more. He asked you to do some tests then suddenly changed the topic.
"Why leave me?...." There was silence. You couldn't answerd him straight.
"I-i have a b-brain tumor... T-that's why I decided to break up w-with you..." You answered softly, hanging your head down low.
"Just because of that? You should have told me right feom the start. You know I could do anything for you..."
Luhan overheard your conversation with Sehun. He was standing still while opening the door slightly to hear more.
"But we dont know what might happen! I dont want to hurt you. That's the reason Sehun."
"I never stopped loving you Daeyeon....you even barked at the wrong tree. Out of all the guys out there, why Luhan? My bestfriend? Tch."
"...stop right there Sehun. You're going beyond. Dont put Luhan in the conversation. He's a good guy and I love him so much."
"But I love you more than he does Daeyeon. I can give you everything you want. Break up with him and be mine again, whats so difficult about it?"
You couldn't control anymore and suddenly raised up your right arm to slap him on his right cheek.
"You dont have to tell me that Oh Sehun!"
"But I know deep inside, that you still love me Daeyeon. Im not blind." Sehun suddenly pulled your wrist, making your bodies collide and so with your lips. You still love him after all, and you could't get hold of yourself so you kissed him back. Luhan decided to leave after seeing the incident.
Luhan was being cold to you. He barely answer your calls or replies to your messages. He wasn't the cheerfu Luhan you used to know. Something was bothering him and you wanted to know what was it but he wouldn't tell you. You decided to take a break at him. A month passed and there wasn't any communication between you and Luhan. You were on your way to your classroom when you suddenly felt dizzy. Your head was aching, aching so hard as if it's going to break into pieces real soon. You couldn't withstand tha pain and soon, you fainted. But you never got hurt from the fall. Someone caught you right before you fainted. You were still unconcious. Luhan was the one taking care of you all the time. He never left his spot just to watch you all the time. He barely eats and take a rest.
"Luhan, her condition's getting serious. Based from the results of the test, her brain tumor is gone, yet, a heart problem took place. Her heart is weak. She worked too much without keeping a tract with her health. She needs a heart transplant."
"Heart transplant?! But ..where can we see donors?" Luhan asked.
"To be honest, there are barely heart donors around here. Its a 10% chance out of 100% so...dont expect." Sehun sighed.
"Sehun. Take care of her. I know everything about your past with her and I'm giving her back to you heartily. I trust you Sehun. Please treat her like a princess. Make her happy, never make her worry about things and love her with all your heart.."
You've undergone a heart transplant. A kind donor donated his heart to you.
You opened your eyes slowly and the first one you saw was Sehun. It was a successful operation. All thanks to Sehun's team.
"Luhan?" You mumbled and looked around for him but he wasnt there.
"Luhan asked me to gave this to you." Sehun handed you a letter with a teary eye. You read the letter and a non stop cry escaped from your mouth. Luhan donated his heart to you. Wish you could turn back time, but you couldn't. You learned to love Luhan because he was tough enough to make you feel loved by him.
"Sorry to hear about Luhan. Even I couldn't believe he did it. But...it was his will, not mine. Daeyeon. Let me ask you one more thing. Do you still love me?"
Your tears started to fall, halk happy because Sehun loves you still, half depressed because of what happened to Luhan. But you know Sehun was still the right guy for you. After all the hardships both of you encountered, you two met again with an unexpected happening. You nodded her head, saying a YES which made him very happy. Sehun hugged you tight and cupped both of your cheeks. He crashed his lips unto yours and so you did, together with the flow of the air. You could hear Luhan whispering through the wind saying "I'm so happy for you. I love you so much and please take care of my bestfriend..."
You looked up above the sky that night and observed a billion of stars up above. You suddenly spotted a big red twinkling star and you suddenly remembered Luhan. He was just right there, observing you from up above. A warm, yet secure hug wrapped around your body, you knew it was Sehun. You two are together again and it felt so great. All thanks to Luhan.
"Luhan, till we see each other again..." You softly mumbled those words as you closed your eyes.
