Now, how should I say this?  I've been into KPOP for barely three months and it all started with SNSD!  I've watched and listened to tons of KPOP but I still stuck with SNSD.  There's just no stopping it. Sones everywhere are just flocking trying to make the topic with SNSD laced on it to be on top.  I became an avid follower.  Everywhere I see SNSD, I would go there, even blindly.  Whenever I see a basher, an anti, the protective Sone out of me comes out.  I evolved into a full-pledged SONE.  We are not rude, we just see the need to protect our angels from any basher.  We are definitely not hating on any other groups.  

 When rumors of their comeback surfaced, I had no idea how big it would be until their concept photos came out.  It was the most awaited days not only for us Sones.  I am sure the whole KPOP world is watching out for every single photo that would be released.  I feel sorry for BEG already.  They just released their album and they are already overshadowed by SNSD's concept photos.  Now, that's just amazing.  

Every photo is different from the other.  That's completely different from any other KPOP group photo concept I have ever seen.  They bring out curiosity from all of us.  They keep us guessing.  Rumors of fairy tale concept are everywhere yet we are all on the edge of our seats guessing who they are portraying.  It was like Grimms, Andersen and Carroll met Tim Burton and went straight to SM and conceptualize their photo concepts.  There are lots of assumptions and rumors but all we have to do is wait and admire what SNSD have worked so hard.  

 

Taeyeon

 

The first to be released is Taeyeon.  Forget about the height anomalies.  There might be something she is stepping on to but c'mon, just let it pass.  Our love for this kid leader surpasses even Yao Ming's height, I know.  A lot of people say that she's Snow White. Well, she's holding an apple so she could be.  But if I am the witch who would give it to her, I would have fled the moment she opened the door.  She looks like she's gonna bite more than just the apple.  Her fierce look makes me feel like I have to hold my neck to make sure she hasn't put a hole in it yet.  The long hair gives a twist to her medieval Snow White look and she just looks more like a vampire to me than Snow White.  If her concept really is Snow White, I am pretty sure Disney will have fire Snow White out of their main princesses.  She is definitely giving Snow White a badass reputation looking like a little vampire.

 

 Sunny

 

Next up is Sunny.  If there's someone who transforms in their every concept, it is definitely Sunny.  For their fourth album, she successfully transformed again!  This girl really deserves an applause.  *clapclapclapclap.  One look at the hood and we are fast to conclude that she is Little Red Riding Hood.  Yes, Little Red Riding Hood, the one who was stalked by the big bad wolf on her way to her sick granny's house.  I know that she probably has got some admirers, some bordered with stalking ability.  If you're one of those, you better chase after her now.  You'd catch up with her at a fast rate.  Aside from her not-so-long legs, that weird ruffles would surely slow her down but one look from that eyes would automatically kill you.  The eyes of Lee Sunkyu that I honestly want as my own.  There are also two possible characters that might be portraying though.  Sunny is a pro gamer, we know!  So she might have came across Angry Birds and decided to make it her concept, a gamer that she is.  Yes, that red fluffy bird we are using to throw down piles of woods and that's-what!  Or she could be the one that I am sure, we are familiar with, Elmo.  Ah, yes, again!  The one in Sesame Street and the only stuffed toy my nephew is ignoring.  Sunny could be little but she sure portrays a lot of characters in one pose.  

      

 

Hyoyeon

 

The first thing that came to mind when I saw Hyoyeon was she looks so much like Song Hye Kyo, one of the most beautiful faces of Korea.  I always thought that way, she just came unpolished though.  People always think that she's the least among SNSD, thinking that she's the lead dancer, that's all.  Hoyeon is beautiful, and this is just one of the proof.  She  may be outshined by the other members but she is definitely beautiful.  I am glad she got a lot of love from Paris.  So after you get blinded by the background of her photo and the deliberate lighting, let's take a look and guess her concept.  Rumors say that she is Thumbelina, the little girl that appeared when a flower bloomed.  Honestly, I could barely guess what her concept is.  The only clue we have are the flowers in her head that steal all the colors of the photo.  Are they trying to trick us?  She's Tinkerbell and Thumbelina merged into one person!  Really!  The fangirl in me screamed that she's Tinkerbell and Eunhyuk, the Peter Pan, would fly at her and they could dance together forever.  Oops, that sounded like Yuri's dream(except for the Eunhyuk part).  The realistic part of me that her concept is screaming right in front of me.  She's a flower vase, folks!  A beautiful flower vase at that!

 

Jessica

 

Ain't she lovely?  Aye!  I am disappointed by this photo.  I really do.  I think Jessica, Tiffany and Sunny have those kind of faces you can play around with.  They could just pull off anything -- from cutesy to hellish y.  When I saw this, I was like, "%$##&^^^!  They could do better than this!"  We've seen her transform into a lot of things but this is just extreme.  I'm Christian, mind you and this is Jesus!  Kidding!  It's because of all the light background and the white dress.  Can't they use more solid colors?  The background is eating her.  Anyways, I have read that she's suppose to be Swan Princess.  Yeah, right!  If she's Swan Princess, then that dove is probably the swan.  It looks like a white chicken to me!  Or maybe our princess is just in her dreamland, notice the fog around her?  

 

Tiffany

 

When Jessica was released, I expected Tiffany to complete the package.  JeTi, did you know?  I got blinded when I saw Tiffany's concept photo.  All the disco balls just kept shining and that's how they be, rrright?  It was too much to look at her photo.   My eyes darted everywhere to get a clue of who she's suppose to be.  I love the things on her legs.  I guess that when they have fairy tale concept, I could find a hidden mickey in it.  Before I could even see one, my eyes got hurt already.  Tiffany is suppose to be Ariel, our little mermaid.  Since I could see no tail, I assume that the glittery things on her legs would make up the tail.  They always leave us asssuming.  But as I watch the photo longer, a song comes up to mind.  Love Game, anyone?  Yeah, yeah, there's no mention of the disco ball but another disco thing.  That's when I firgure her photo concept.  She's Lady Gaga!  Our Rapper Hwang could be turning into a Fame Monster?  Aw, being in the musical, Fame, couldn't turn you into one, right?

 

Sooyoung

 

Definitely my favorite!  Everything's just beautiful.  They could have used a better dress but as usual, she pulled it off like a pro.  She's looking like a model and Rapunzel.  Everyone says she's Rapunzel.  She has the only one who has a clear concept in her photoshoot.  One look at her hair ad it's a giveaway.  The flower on her hair is just like an icing to a cake.  Sooyoungie, can I have that hair, too?

 

Seohyun

 

The last batch of the photos consisted of the triplets.  Yes, the triplets!  I mistaken Seohyun for Yuri and vice versa.  Almost everything hints snow -- from the fur coat to the white background.  It captured Seohyun's growing maturity and her sensuality.  It fits her best but not making her stand out.  Aside from the hinted concept, I can also see hint of a cause.  Could she be promoting the protection of the polar bears?  LOL.  I just wonder why the Snow Queen needs a lot of jewelry in the north pole though.  I hope she's not stealing Santa's goods.

Yuri

 

One of the triplets, the other half of the YoonYul and my bias, Kwon Yuri.  The plain photo makes you realize a lot of things.  One, she's got a hella pair of legs.  Two, she looks like a doll.  Three, her hair stylist needs to be fired.  Four, she only needs a chair and a pair of useless red shoes to look amazing in a photoshoot.  And five, she has a striking resemblance to Moon Geun Young ang Jung Yunho.  I know Yuri could have done better, that's coming from a Yuri-fan though.  She's giving this creepy feeling that makes you think otherwise of this innocent-looking fragile girl.  It makes you want to run away because she's creepy but makes you want to protect her at the same time.  I recall Tale of Two Sisters because of this creepiness, and she looks like she leaped out of their poster!  If the rumors that her concept is Red Shoes, I am pretty certain she couldn't  do pirouettes with those heels.

 

Yoona

 

You may agree or not, but Im Yoona is overrated.  Yes, she is the prettiest and she is the most overrated.  Before their photo concepts, I already expected a lot from her photo release.  I am a YoonYulSeo shipper but I am still somewhat diappointed.  Yes, she has the crown so we can all hail Queen Im but the fierce look never fits her.  The charisma that KPOP world has always been talking lessened and she looks more like a witch than a queen.  I just wish she and Jessica just switched concepts.  They coulda rocked their concepts!  She should have been the dark queen from Alice in Wonderland contrary to the Bell rumor but the sword hinted me two different concepts.  I would ask Alexander Dumas if perhaps, it should have been The Four Musketeers.  Or perhaps Isabel  Allende's Zorro is really a girl.  Hmmm.  Might as well hide before Yoong cuts me into two.

 

SM should have mercy on us and give us clear ideas of what is "The Boys" all about.  Their photos scream fairy tale at us but we might not be sure.  There are alot of rumors going around and what's the latest eyebrow-crunching question?  Are these concepts have anything to do with their songs?  We could all just wait and see.  One of the things to do on my list?  Find a way to grab a copy of "The Boys".  We're aiming for GDA, baby!
