Night

This poem was one I wrote a few months ago in school. We had to write a concrete poem (the ones that make the shape of the topic) and this is just it written out. We had to write about a topic of our choice, and I picked the night. This is the fist of a few school poems I wrote, and I'll share the other ones later. This one is personally my favorite though. This poem is completely mine; I wrote it myself. Any similarities are purely a coincidence. Happy reading and sorry it's not that good.

Night
The dark blackness of the sky
hugging  the world in a blanket
of the unknown.
The only light comes from the
mysterious  shinning moon
and a few foreign stars.
 The tension that comes from
this eerie time,
fills people's souls with
 uneasiness and fear.
Shadows dance in pitch black forests,
abandoned country roads, and even in your
easily paranoid mind,
filling you with mania.
Lone crickets chirp,
and every racket, bang, shuffle,
 even trees dancing in the
blowing of the wind,
make your bones shake.
As you wait for the paradise that is
the bright, aluminizing sun
to once again fill the sky.
The almighty fireball beating on the
cage of despair that is trapping it,
until finally it is set free.
Just remember,
the darkness will always return,
filling you with the
coldness of night again.

Alright, sorry for any grammar and/or spelling mistakes. If you see some and want to tell me that'd be great :) Thanks for reading.
