Poem of the Greatful

“I do not need a model.

   I do not need popularity.

   I don’t want his money,

   How shameless would I be?

I don’t care about his friends,

   Or his fancy new car,

I can walk on two feet,

   And get just as far.

I don’t want some varsity athlete,

That can lift more than I weigh,

  I don’t want a jock,

Who will be busy every day.

  I don’t want a comedian,

  Or some hot emo man.

  I’ll take whatever I want,

  Not whatever I can.

I cannot love someone with a bigger ego than his brain.

  It cannot replace knowledge,

  It isn’t the same.

I do not need jewelry,

Nor do I want it.

I want more than what he can get from the bottom of his wallet.

I don’t want a muscle-bot,

Or someone super thin.

I do not want her,

I do not want him,

You see,

I already have you,

So I already win. ”
