Melissa came to take care of her. however, she took a wrong bottle. it was supposed to be an alcohol bottle, but she forgot that her father had stored another liquid in it. after she applied some to cure the bruises, the next day, that power suddenly came to her twin sister and she became a mutant.
life before utopia/brotherhood: She was an ordinary girl next door who lived only with Mellisa back then. their parent had passed away a few years ago in a car accident. They both protected each other in their own ways ever since. although she is an emotional and impulsive girl, Meryl had never shown her power to anyone unless she needs to show it in a fight.
