It hurts me a little when they say this

It hurts me a little when livejournal users say that aff stories are trash. ALL aff stories. I have a livejournal account too but don't believe them. I've read few beautiful, well-written and unforgetable stories here. Maybe they are just ignorant. I wish they could read those stories too. It's just that, those stories are hard to find.

because the lj users are prefectionist, and you're kind of true; aff has many good author with nice story, but they are so hard to find.

To be honest, AFF's reputation is 'trashy fanfics' because the good, well written fanfics are so buried deep under those OCs/ulzzangs/perfect characters/YOU fics that have no depth. Now, there're some really good fics of the above mentioned here. But it's just that, AFF readers mostly wants subscribers and wants to get featured. They write to please the readers, not themselves. Which ends up with lots and lots and lots of cliche and 'trashy' fics.

You said so yourself, those good stories are hard to find. So when those LJ users click on AFF, the usual stories they will see just by the description will be a turn off. So what I feel is, don't need to be hurt by this. Write wherever you want. AFF, soompi, LJ or anywhere, it's just a platform for you to share your masterpiece. :)

'we can make you understand', 'the fault in the machine', they are both bautiful fics that is not posted on LJ. i mean, they're gold. people just don't delve deeper to underrated authors :/
