I think same goes for websites. Actually, on websites, you have nothing more than the first impression. It's very improtant.

I know because I make websites almost everyday.

And I have to admit... I really don't like livejournal at all. It's really the first impression of it, and I don't like it. It's.. I don't know. It's just confusing to find any fanfics there, and besides, I read multiple blogs from my friends who wrote that it isn't that good at all.
