We are Strong

We’ve all had dreams that’s been broken

We’ve all had wishes that didn’t come true

We’ve all had hopes that weren’t answered

 

But that wasn’t the end

 

There were obstacles that have stopped us

There were hardships that have crushed us

There were tears that just kept on falling

 

And then

There were times where we were confused

There were times where we were suspicious

There were times where we questioned

And there were times where we wanted to give up

We are anxious, we are insecure, we are scared and we are lost

 

However, always keep this in mind

You can push me off the cliff, but I can learn to fly

Your words of judgment won’t stop me from going high

You can say all that you want, but just remember

While you were talking, I was achieving

 

Calling me dumb won’t stop me from thinking

Telling me it’s ugly won’t keep me from obtaining perfection

Warning me that it’s useless won’t restrain me from continuing

 

Who dare say’s I’m weak?

Wisdom is my helmet, determination is my armor

Confidence is the brand of my shoes, and courage is the design of my wings.

 

If there’s a mountain in my way,

Going around is not what I’m gonna say

How about we bust this tough guy right on this day

And walk right through it while saying “Hey!”

Because what you want in the future today is the day you pay.
