Whatever happen to...

courtesy? Maybe there's no such thing as courtesy on the Internet, but seriously. How can people call themselves fans when they act any kind of way. When groups come out with new music, fans are going to be happy, haters are going to hate, and there are going to be some who have genuinely valid opinions/objections. Cool. That's fine, but what's the point of starting arguments? Negative comments can be said nicely. There's no use of starting fanwars or comparing groups or accusing one group of 'stealing' a concept from another. I mean, really?

I guess my thing is this. When 'regular' people started saying "Oh yeah, I like kpop, I know that Gangnam song," all the kpop fans banded together. It didn't matter who was a BABY, or EXOtic, or Cassie, or whatever...it didn't matter. What did matter was that we had to establish that there was more to liking kpop than knowing one song-that being a fan or part of a fandom was about family and loyalty and all that. Now that the craze has died down, we're back to tearing each other to peices.

I'm not saying that there have never been fanwars. I'm almost 100% sure that fanwars will never stop, but that's not important. We're supposed to be fans. The men and women we support...how do you think they would feel if they read your comments where you're bashing other groups to build them up? They wouldn't like that. The whole fandom looks bad when one or two crazies take over everything and start shooting off at the mouth all over the Internet. All I'm saying is, I wish there was more respect.
