“It’s 3:45, we need to prepare now for Music Bank,” Manager-hyung said, standing from his corner as Changmin and I, along with our back-up dancers, rehearsed in one of SM’s practice rooms.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Normally, I would sit in the back with Changmin but I just felt like sitting in front this time. Shutting the door with a loud snap and strapping on my seatbelt, Changmin got in as well, sitting at the back alone.

 

 

“Ah, at least I can lie on my back here comfortably,” he smirked. “What’s our schedule after this?” he asked, directing his question to our manager who just got in on the driver’s seat, strapped himself with the seatbelt, and started the engine.

 

 

 

 

 

 

As we travelled, we all fell silent. I closed my eyes to relax for a bit. Deep inside, I was really grateful for the free time we’ll have after the performance. Sure, it was fun to perform but we can’t deny that we need rest too. I am really looking forward for later, so excited that I can’t help but wish for this schedule to finish quickly.

 

 

 

 

I must have fallen asleep because I jerked awake when the van gave a sudden wobble. I looked around and saw our manager tense up from the driver’s seat.

“What’s that?” Changmin, who sat up in surprise, asked.

“I don’t know,” Manager-hyung said. “We’re nearly there, don’t worry.”

Despite what he said, I still worry about it but I tried to show that I wasn’t to calm Changmin down. We’re nearly there, after all—
