I'm suppose to...

My friend and I were suppose to be at a solo ensemble doing our duet. Is anyone in band at school? I play the clarinet.

Anyways, too all of you that aren't in band or don't know anything about solo ensemble, you basically go to a different school and play a piece that you practiced outside of school. But you get directions on how to get there and you're suppose to have this piece of paper that tells you what you're playing, who's the songs composed, and all that good stuff (you're suppose to give that to the judge, it's like a ticket, if you think about it). Then, after you're done, the judge gives you a score and 'help' you improve with techniques. Oh! and the judge is someone that is in the field of the instrument that you play. A bonus I gess. You can get a 'one', a 'two' which they give you a medal ('one', a blue medal, 'two', a red medal, or nothing.

Continuing too my friend and I were suppose to be at a solo ensemble, yesterday (friday) there was a snow day so I didn't have school. I go to affs and see a message from my friend that said, and I quote, "How are we getting our instruments?!?" I got soo mad. Like really, I don't even watch the weather, and I brought mine home for once. Then she message me this, "well, i thought we had school today and im gonna call mr. anderson right now!" A few minutes later, she messaged back saying this, "THANK GOD! Mr. A said he is opening the school for everyone who has solo and ensemble later. It's all good :)" Then this morning I went to her house at 7 b/c we really needed to practice, so I got there, practiced, ate some instant noodles, practiced some more, heard her mom yelling that it was 9. Me and her was suppose to be there a half hour early before our performance, which was, by the way 9:28. I know 28? really? Continuing w/ the story, ran upstairs, looked for everything we need, turned out, we didn't have the piece of paper that we needed to give to the judge. Called our band director, didn't pick up, then she remembered that it could be at our friends house, called, nothing, texted our band director, nothing, thought it was in the car, went to go see, nothing, both went in the car, then,.... we both decide to.... ditch. I was like "MONEY!" She ran into her house to get her money. So then her dad drove us to the school, dropped us off, and we walked slowly to the door. When we saw that he left, we walked out, got comfortable/warm (well I did, I had my big backpack.) and walk out to the main road, by the way, this school was a A school, which meant it was a big school, like VERY BIG school. Did I mention that there was a snow day yesterday? Well it's STILL SNOWING!! I had gloves, a scarve, a hoodie, and a coat. And my friend just had her coat. Smart, right? Walked, and walked, they didn't even shovel the sidewalk!! Luckily we both were wearing boots. Then I heard her said "Linda, I think my fingers are adapted to the weather, I can't feel them anymore." I was like, "Umm, Ashley, I don't think thats a good sign." LOL. Got to the main roads, saw a cimina, and both of us was like "Let's go watch a movie!!", crossed the road, almost there, turned out it was closed. Like wtf? How the hell is the movies closed on saturdays? Luckily there was a lot of mall strips or else we would of died. Now we are in starbacks, drinking hot chocolate. It's still cold, but the hot chocolate is helping. *sigh* I can't wait to drive next year. At least I brought my laptop. Yes, I brought my laptop, is there a problem? Anyways, I just had to let it out, Sorry if I wasted your time.
