Cherish your loved ones before its too late..

Time passed by so quickly. It seems just like yesterday, when you are just a tiny baby, crying whenever you are hungry or wetted your diapers . You might not remember the smiles of your parents and grandparents when they caressed your soft skin. When you grew up alittle, those tantrums you threw when things did not go your way . Your grandmother tries her best to pacify you. Do you remember those times when your grandmother give you those little snacks that your parents denied you of? Do you remember those times, when your grandmother tells you stories of their past and you listen to them attentively? Do you remember those times when you kept pestering your grandmother to shower you with attention even though she is busy? Now that you've all grown up. Think. When was the last time you gave her a hug or a kiss? You gets irritated now when she tried to show you her concerns. You thinks she is naggy. But, here comes the news that she is getting weaker. And then you decided to visit her after for so long. As you walked into her room, you saw her resting on her old rocking chair, eyes closed. Then you realized that she is really old now. Her wrinkle on her face, her white hair and shallow breathing.. Tears welled up your eyes as memories of the past flooded your mind.. When was the last time you hugged her? The last time you kissed her? Or even telling her how much you love her? You walked towards her. Her eyes fluttered open. she looked surprised. Then she quickly broke into a smile. The same smile she always have. 'You have came! ' she said. You nodded your head stiffly. 'Come here, dear.. come closer.. grandma's eyesight is not very good.. ' she said, her voice sounded so weak. Your tears rolled down your cheeks as you moved closer to her. 'Why are you crying? ' she asked, raising her hand to wipe it off. Her hand felt so soft and delicate. You mumbled a 'I am sorry ' She looked at you questionly. "I Should have visited you earlier.. ' you choked. 'It's alright, dear.. I know you are busy.. ' she said, taking your hands in hers. Her hands felt papery and delicate. *** When it's time for you to leave. You went to her and gave her a peck on her cheeks. 'Good bye grandma.. ' you said. You looked up and saw her eyes getting red. 'Goodbye.. ' she said, smiling her endearing smile. But you could see sadness in her eyes. You turned to leave but stopped in your tracks. Then you turned back and went back to give her a hug. Tears kept flowing down you eyes and you could not hold back your sobs. She patted your back soothingly and said 'don't cry.. ' After awhile, you straightened up. 'Get going now!' she said, smiling. You nodded and turned around. And again you turned back. 'Grandma.. I love you.. ' you said. You looked at her and saw her eyes were glassy with tears. 'I love you too, dear.. go.. get going now.. don't be late for your appointment! ' she said smiling her same smile you always see on her face when you are younger. 'Come and visit soon ' she called before you left. As you left, You made a promise to yourself to come and visit her the next day again. ---------------------- Cherish your loved ones before it's too late.. Really.. My grandmother isnt feeling very well nowadays.. Doctors said that if there is another heart attack.. her heart will stop.. Right now.. her breathing is very shallow.. I am really very scared.. I don't want her to leave me.. Even though she stays with us.. but I never really spent much time with her.. Don't do that. Please do spend time with your loved ones and tell them that you love them. Even a hug or a kiss on the cheek.. they will know how you feel.
