Ye-jun is a very laid back person. He’s not one to hold grudges nor is he quick to anger. Tends to go with the flow of things. Doesn’t care for things to be drawn out. Is also a very blunt and sarcastic person hates it when people beat around the bush. May come off as being cold but once you get to know him you’ll see he’s just a big teddy bear. A great person to talk to about your problems and he will do his best to give good advice. Seeing as he has a soft spot for all things cute. Is also one who likes for things to be kept in order. Has slight ocd tendencies. Hates conflicts so he tries his best to resolve them as quickly as possible. Tends to keep things about his own life a secret. But he cares for the people who are close to him so when the time comes he’ll help and protect them. Is also very responsible and mature which is why his family agreed to let him go to Korea. Also has a huge obsession with all things sweet. Though cake is his big thing, claims he would die without it. He loves it so much a he learned how to bake all kinds of cake and cake decorating. Can also cook food as well though mostly Taiwanese and Panamanian food. He also isn’t a big eater ( unless of course it’s cake) So he doesn’t gain that much weight and sometimes will become underweight and be put on a diet to gain weight. Doest mind working out, in fact he loves it. Since his Korean isn’t that great if he really want’s to get his point across he’ll start to speak in Spanish. If he’s upset he’ll speak in either English or Mandarin or sometimes he speaks a mixture of all three. Also love’s his pet hamster to death. He treats it as though as if it was his own child. Father:

Ahn Hyunjoon age (42) is full Korean. Is the CEO of a major electronic company He meet Ye-jun’s mother when he was on a business trip in L.A. who was the secretary for one the people he was meeting with. The two hit off and went to a club and the one thing lead to another and the two had a one night fling and he returned to Seoul, Korea two days after that. Ye-jun’s mother never told him that she was pregnant seeing as he was already married and had children.

Mother:

Marisol Huang, age (36). She is half Taiwanese and half Panamanian. Her father was from Taiwan and her mother from Panama the two both immigrated to the U.S. and one day meet fell in love got married and had her. When she meet Ye-jun’s father she was very young and was working part time as a secretary to help pay for medical school. She is now a Cardiatric surgeon. Never told Ye-jun’s father that she had gotten pregnant after their one night stand. Seeing as she knew it would ruin his reputation. Her parents and her younger sister helped her a lot seeing as she was so young when she had Ye-jun. She is very strict with Ye-jun but only because she doesn’t want him to make any mistakes.

Grandfather:

Huang Zhi Peng, age ( 58). Moved to the U.S. from Taiwan and opened a restaurant that is now a very successful franchise. Meet Marisol mother two fell in love got married. Seeing as Marisol was still working on being a doctor when she had Ye-jun he and his wife had to help her raise him. He and his wife are big about their children and their grandchildren knowing about their culture so he made sure that Ye-jun could speak, read and write in Mandarin. He and his wife spoil Ye-jun like no tomorrow

Grandmother:

Maria Sandoval-Huang, age ( 57). Moved to the U.S. from Panama. She worked as nanny for most of her life. One day she meet her husband and they fell in love at first site. She was very disappointed with Ye-jun’s mother when she learned she had gotten pregnant. But soon came to terms with it after Ye-jun was born. She spoils Ye-jun to death and is always trying fatten the boy up. Since she says he’s too skinny. In fact she’s the one who got him hooked on cake. She actually cried the most when Ye-jun moved to Korea to achieve his dream of becoming a singer.

Aunt:

Maria Huang, age( 29) Is Ye-jun’s mother younger sister. She is a gymnastic/ aerobatics instructor. Was once part of Cirque du Soleil and use to take Ye-jun with her to her shows and practices where he picked up a lot from the other members. She acutally had Ye-jun take dance, acting, gymnastic/ aerobatics lessons from the other members of Cirque du Soleil . And she would never let him quit. Just like the other members of his family his aunt also spoils him like crazy. But also is very firm with him.

Personal Life:

Ye-jun was born in San Jose California to a single mother. He and his mother lived with his grandparents his aunt. He always surround in a loving environment and had his family support no matter what he did. When he was three he started going with his aunt to her job at the Cirque du Soleil where he started to learn dance, acting, and gymnastics and aerobatic stunts until he was 14. When he was in 5th he was slightly on the chubby side due to his grandparents always trying to feed him. He was picked on by the other kids. Which lead to him going on an intense diet before he started middle school and is also the reason why he’s not a big eater because he’s afraid of becoming fat again. Though he would never give up his love for cake. When he was 9 he told his mom that he wanted to learn how to play an instrument and started taking saxophone lessons thus started his passion for Jazz music. Ye-jun’s love for music soon lead to him singing from when he would try to imamate his favorite singers. When he was 13 he started making audition types for a lot of companies. He deiced to try to debut in a Korean group because he was half Korean and since he had little knowledge about his Korean heritage he figured this would a great way to learn about his heritage and achieve his dream of becoming a singer.

Trainee Life:

Ye-jun was eventually accepted as an SM trainee when he was 14. He then had to move to Korea. Even though he knew no Korean. He stayed in a dorm seeing as he had no family that he knew of that lived in Korea. He spent so many long hours working on improving his voice. Seeing as he was already good at dancing. He even got to be a back up dancer at one of B.oA.’s concerts. Ye-jun also had to take Hangul( Korean) lessons. Since he knew no Korean. He would get homesick often since he didn’t really have anyone he could talk with since he knew no Korean. He would often get depressed and sometimes thought about quitting and going back home to the U.S. but when he would call back home and talk to his family and they would tell him how proud they were of him, he knew he couldn’t quit and stayed strong and never gave up. He would also go to other idol’s concerts and events so he could observe successful idols.
