Seohyuk was born on June 28, 1991 in Seoul, South Korea. He was adopted by his Aunt when she can't bear any child. His aunt is rich and spoils him everytime. Hyuk lived in the States for 6 years before going back to Korea when he was 17 when his adoptive mother/aunt died and by that time, SNSD was gaining popularity, Seohyun didn't know about Hyuk until she was 15 years old while Hyuk knew it from the beginning. Hyuk wanted to approach Seohyun but Seohyun was the one who made a way to find him instead. since the day they formally introduced to each other that they're twins, they became close and contact each other everytime. Until one day, some sasaeng fan saw them having coffee in a coffee shop and suddenly news spread about Seohyun dating someone which she clarified and told the press that Hyuk is in fact her brother. Hyuk's biological mother knew about her children seeing each other and approached Hyuk and beg somehow for forgiveness for letting her sister-in-law adopt Hyuk but Hyuk didn't find it as a bad thing because he was given much love by his 'mother'/aunt.
