What's your species like?

There are many different races amongst the elves, and Min Seok is of the Silvan race, the Wood Elves. The Silvan Elves were of a mixed decent, and were governed by Sindarin (royal Wood Elves) rulers. The Silvan Elves are described as being less wiser and gifted than the other Elf races, but they are extremely talented and gifted in the art of music. Elves are naturally immortal, and remain unwearied in age. Their appearance changes with them as they grow, but this growth is usually inhibited when they reach their teenage years, and after that, they appear to age only under great age, though still at a slower rate compared to other races. In addition to their immortality, Elves can recover from wounds which would normally kill a mortal, but they can be slain, or die of grief or weariness. Spirits of dead Elves travel to a place called tha Hall of Mandos in Valinor, where after a certain amount of time of 'cleansing', their spirits are clothed in bodies identical to their old ones. The Elves almost never return back to the world of the living, and instead, choose to remain in Valindor, though there have been very few cases where the Elves have chosen to return to the land of the living. Eventually, their bodies will be overwhelmed by their immortality and will be consumed, rendering them 'bodiless', and will appear invisible to the mortal eye.

Elves were also known for their valor in battle, particularly for their archers. Elven archers were the best in the world as they had very keen eyesight and are able to see clearly from a long distance. Aside from their good eyesight, they also have a keen sense of touch, smell, and are able to hear very well. They are also able to interpret the world around them, and what the various signs meant. This made them excellent scouts, and were considered to be a very vital part in scouting parties and armies. Other than that, while they were not alcoholic, Elves were known for being able to hold their liquor very well, and would never get drunk.

Min Seok is a half-elf with his mother being a Silvan Elf and his father a mortal human. He was given the choice of living his life as a mortal man or living the life of an immortal Elf, and he chose to be immortal. He was born in Seoul, South Korea, and his family consists of his mother, father, and older brother who chose to live as a mortal human. He was given his elvish name, Haldir, by his mother, and while it does not appear on any official forms, he keeps it, but is only used by his mother. He is close to his family despite their differences, and they currently live in Seoul. Min Seok never knew his grandparents as they were already residing in Valindor by the time of his birth. Wanting to keep his Elvish roots alive, his mother taught him the language of their people, and he is thus fluent in the ancient tongue. His mother also trained him in archery, a skill that his people were known for due to their keen eyesight. Unlike his brother who wished to live a normal, mortal life, Min Seok chose to embrace his Elvish roots, and was fascinated by their culture and history, and was always thirsty for more knowledge on his origins.

Describe your personality:

Min Seok is friendly towards everyone despite their race, and while he easily gets close to others, he only ever considers few of his friends as 'close'. He is very kind and understanding towards others, and he thus keeps a lot of thoughts to himself, though he does not mind if it means that the people he care about and love won't feel troubled because of his feelings. He is calm, rational, and gentle, making him the 'nice guy' of the school. He is described as sweet, loveable, and nice by many others, and is always called the 'perfect man' and the 'ideal type' for all girls. While this is true, there are things about him that others may not necessarily know about. He has a fragile heart because he keeps a lot of bottled up feelings without saying anything, and he finds it hard to express his inner feelings.

When it comes to the girl he likes, he would secretly take care of her in a way that is not done openly, and is willing to let others to take his credit if it meant that she would be less troubled. He is willing to let the girl he likes misunderstand him, and he cannot take it when he sees the girl he likes is upset, angry, or crying. He will do what he can to make her smile, even if it meant pushing another guy to her. She is always first in his heart, and he does not mind. He will do anything for her and will always worry about her.

Due to the nature of his race, he is naturally gifted in music, particularly playing the guitar, and he thus developed a passion for it as he grew up.

Anything extra you want to say about your character?

As I was doing my application, I was thinking of making him the type of guy that doesn't get the girl, if you know what I mean. Sort of like the second lead in those K-dramas that likes the girl very much and does a lot of things for her, but in the end, the girl goes to the main lead (eg. Shin Woo (Yong Hwa) in You're Beautiful, Eun Gyeol (Hyun Woo) in To The Beautiful You). Just a thought. And I don't mind if he doesn't even get a girl, any girl, in the end. So he can be like the guy that gets the sad ending. Well, actually, I'd prefer it if it were that way, but it's up to you. Oh, and he is friends with the girl's love interest, and he gets mad at the guy sometimes because the girl gets upset because of him, and he'd tell him off.

So I thought of a scene. Mainly inspired by You're Beautiful. I was thinking that maybe, the crush and her love interest would get into a fight or something similar, and Min Seok would confess to her to finally let out his feelings. Then, the crush's love interest would see him hugging her and walk away, but after he walks away, the girl will pull away and ask Min Seok not to hold onto her anymore. And then...some time after that, the girl and the guy would still not be talking to each other, and Min Seok will tell explain everything to the guy, and tell him that what he saw (Min Seok hugging the girl) was him holding on to the girl until the very end, and that was why he was able to let go of the girl, or something like that. Like, he will sort of be the one who gets the girl and the guy to reconcile? Yeah.

Though maybe not instantly, he could perhaps start out as just a friend to the girl, but they will slowly grow close enough to be considered close or best friends. And like, he can buy the girl a lot of gifts, but was never really able to give them to her, and he'd just keep them, waiting for the time to come where he can give them to her.

This is my first time making a boy character. Do tell me if there is anything I need to fix and I will do it right away.
