Excavation: Ghost Fanfic (Part 2)

Continued from Excavation: Ghost Fanfic (Part 1)

So, I was browsing through my old fanfics to find some inspiration and mood to write a new fanfic (for a contest entry), and then found a bunch of old fanfic posters I made. Thought I might share them here^^

First of all, let me explain:

  |  Excavation : In archaeology, an excavation site is the place where people dig for artifacts.

  |  Ghost Fanfic : Like 'ghost town' or 'ghost ship', I call the following content as ghost fanfics; fanfics that are either abandoned/discontinued or I've never even started.

So, yeah. Bunch of antique stuffs down there, heh. Most of them were made from three to five years ago. Feel free to adopt the ideas or the posters (if people would ever do that orz), just make sure to link back to this page or my profile.

G L I T T E R   &   G R E A S E

Romance, drama

A famous actress, Ahn Yisun was declared bankrupt and was charged with several money swindling. Ever since then, she had been on the run since no one seemed to be willing to help her, not even her own attorney boyfriend. She ran into Wontae one night and decided that he might be the person who can help her.

Posted on Soompi, a spin-off from my first not so k-pop-ish, completed fanfic, 180° (also on Soompi). Currently, it has nine chapters on Soompi, but I have written up to the fourteenth chapter before I abandoned the story. I have a soft spot for this story (which is proven from the amount of posters I made for this story), I kind of want to re-write it someday.

Featuring: Ko Soo as Kang Wontae, Choi Jungwon as Ahn Yi-sun, and Jung Kyungho as Aaron Son (all are actors).

   Excerpt:

“I’m innocent! …and I’m still looking for some ways to prove it,”

   Won-tae got up.

“I guess it wouldn’t change a thing even if I know the truth, but I understand why you had been running away and hiding your identity. I’ll let you spend the night here, but tomorrow morning I expect that I won’t see you around anymore. Good night, Ms. Ahn,” Won-tae finished and headed towards his bedroom.

Yi-sun just watched as he slowly left her standing alone in the living room, her heart twisted at every step he took. She was tired of running away, and she thought this was a chance, and she didn’t want it to slip away.

Won-tae stopped as he felt her cold, skinny fingers grabbing tightly onto his sleeve. He looked at the shaky fingers, and then at Yi-sun’s determined eyes.

“Please help me,” she begged with a shaky whisper.

O U R   L O V E

Romance, drama

Typical, sappy, cliche k-drama which involves terminal illness and the such. Written in early 2008 and abandoned shortly after it started. The main character is Saeyun, a chinese girl whose real name is Pang Xiuwan. She was trafficked to South Korea and sold as es. Somehow, she managed to get herself out of the hole and was adopted by a pair of elders. Because of her tragic past, she lived her life quietly. Everything changed when she met a celebrity, Kangin, at a hospital while she visited one of the elder who adopted her. Kangin made friends with the elder, and found himself attracted to his supposedly granddaughter, Saeyun. Coincidentally, Hankyung who is a bandmate of Kangin's, was actually a childhood friend of Saeyun. Ah, if anyone's curious, Saeyun's illness was.... (drumroll~) BRAIN TUMOR.

The scary thing is, the fic has some coincidental similarities with the truth. In the fanfic, Hankyung was made fired from Super Junior, while Kangin had to take a hiatus from the group because of an accident.

T H E   B O O K   O F   F A T E

Romance, drama, light comedy, youth, family, friendship

I have enormeous feels for this story! Someday I might complete this story. This story is not a k-fanfic, but a Japanese-manga-style inspired one. All original characters. A story about a pair of twins, one the elegant, bubbly, kind Sakura and the other rebellious, rude Akira. One of them was favored more than the other by their parents (guess who's who). A story about them overcoming each other's shortcomings despite the different pressure the family put on them. Brief characters profile:

Asano Akira - an infamous rebel who skipped school and had no friends. Has a soft spot for Sakura and a knack for cooking and baking. Attends a regular high school which ironically located next to a prestigious school that Sakura attended. Is blatant about her rebelling nature. Eventually will have a crush on Shinkyou.

Asano Sakura - a very kind and obedient daughter who preferred to bottle up her feelings and appeared completely fine in front of everyone else, in contrary to Akira. Deeply cared about Akira since their parents didn't. A very talented and hardworking ballerina, but their parents preferred for her to keep ballet just as casual hobby. She also kept a dark secret from everyone else, even Akira.

Hanazaki Amuro - a model college student who was also Sakura's private tutor. Just like Sakura, Amuro was bubbly and funny and charming but actually harbored a pain from having to be perfect for his parents. He had a crush on Sakura, and was always blatant (yet clumsy) about it. He shared mutual hate with Akira, but eventually grew fonder towards the rebellious teen.

Mizuiro Shinkyou - oh, your favorite, cold, broody, suffering delinquent bishonen. An orphan who lived with his abusive uncle. Had a passion and talent in piano. Was always found doing odd jobs here and there, sometimes together with Akira. Famously paired up with her as her partner in crime when in reality, the two were like the biggest enemies. Sakura's romantic interest.

Some of the issues I (plan to) tackle in this story are , suicide, child abuse, scandals, slanders, juvenile, corrupted adults, a lot of teen and angsty stuffs /shudder. I seriously love this story because it is much deeper than a high school romance story.

And that's about it! I hope you had fun reading and feel inspired to start a fic on your own!
