Going to the Uni

*morning*

I'm going to the university today to make sure that I don't get lost on Monday.  I'm taking three classes on the main campus, where I have never ever had a class before.  I'm so nervous that I'm going to get lost! D:

It's a huge campus too!  The main campus covers FIFTY CITY BLOCKS and has 150 buildings.  These buildings all have multiple levels, and classrooms, lecture halls, labs and so on and so forth.  I just lucked out when it came to my classes; they're all in the same building! :D

*Afternoon*

I found the building! YAY! And all my classes!  I'm so excited for Monday! :3

I also bought the vast majority of my books (I'm missing three) and they cost me THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS (and 88 cents...)!  The uni seriously treats the students more like customers... -.-"

*later... at night*

So... I was missing a grade for my French Litterature class, and it came in today... I'll tell you a secret: I've been required to withdraw from school at the end of last semester.  My GPA was unacceptable, so I was kicked out!  Luckily, I managed to wind up in a program meant to help struggling students up their GPA so that they don't get kicked out.

This is where my French mark comes in... I got an "F", which means that my GPA is a 1.9... only 0.1 point away from the cutoff!  So if it seems like I've died, due to lack of updates, don't worry, I'm not dead.  I'm studying.  So that I don't get kicked out... again.

If I manage to fail this semester coming up, then I'll probably be blacklisted from every university in the country for 5 years, which is not something that I want to do.

As for what I'm going to do (I no longer want to continue my French major), there are a couple of concrete ideas:

  1. Dropping out of school is not an option
  2. Failing out of school is not an option
  3. Dusting myself off and getting back on the proverbial horse, however, is an option.
