Last Names

I have been wanting to post this for a very long time...

Can two people with the same last name in Korea get married?

because I grew up knowing that two people can never get marry if they have the same last name... I know that every culture is different but I just want to know because in some fanfic, characters are coupled together with the same last name. Is that just for fandom or can that really happen in the Korean culture?

i don;t know either but the surname Kim is very often in Korea. marrying someone with a surname Kim when your is already Kim would be funny.it's like not getting married at all. My cousin married someone with the same middle name as her so her middle name became her surname. But like you said before it's different for every culture. hehehe sorry for trolling, i just like sharing..=)
