So for fun I thought I would tell you what I did for newyears, and then you can tell me what you did and we can see how much it differs in different countries. =P
(not that my newyears was very traditional ^^ )

I went to a friends house. We were about 20 people. We ate dinner and sang "snaps visor". small weird songs you sing before you do a shot. ^^
Then we mingled and just had fun for a couple of hours. My friend turned the strobe light on in the cellar and we all had a mini disco.
At ten to twelve we all braved the rain and wind and went outside with champagne to light up fireworks and toast at the of midnight. Then back inside to mingle some more. 

At around one in the night my friend his sauna. Then nine of us, five men and three women wrapped ourself in towels and spent a about 15 minutes sweating like hell and also being hosed down with ice cold water as my friend thought it would be fun to open the door to the sauna and turn the water-hose on us. 

after everyone showered and got dressed again we had a good couple of hours just enjoying music and eachothers company. At around four, people started going towards the kitchen to eat all the left overs. =P It was kind of amusing seeing a bunch of drunk men eating potatoe-gratin with their fingers. 

at around five people started trying to find a place to sleep. eventually I passed out in the basement on thehuge couch together with two guys, two other guys on a bed in the corner... and I slept for about an hour cause three of the guys snored like crazy and kept me awake the rest of the night/morning. 

And also I did all of this sober.. the only sober one at the party  =P There was alot of weird drunk behaviour going around that night....
