{appearance} Ji Yeon's medium-length hair is a soft ginger colour that glows almost orange when she's under the sun. It's impossible to miss her with that hair when she's in a crowd. If she's not stuck in the bathroom in the mornings curling her hair then she's probably just taking a long time deciding which coloured contacts to wear that day. She switches colours on a day to day basis. One day, her eyes will shine an electric blue, and the next day, they'll be gold. You can never predict what she'll come out of the bathroom looking like. Her petite 5'3 stature also adds to her wild appearance. After all, great things come in small packages!

{clothes styles} Leggings, skinny jeans, cardigans, crewnecks and converse are the way to go! In fact, the first thing that Ji Yeon asks herself when she picks out clothes in the morning is: Will I be chasing buses today? If yes, then leggings and a crewneck sweatshirt is immediately thrown on. If no, then jeans, tanktops, and cardigans usually do the trick! Ji Yeon is also almost always seen in either converse or combat boots. To her, there's nothing more comfortable in the world! But sometimes, Ji Yeon has those days when she just wants to be girly, so she does own a few summer dresses and pretty heels here or there, and the few times she puts them to use, man she really puts them to use. She goes all out on her girly days. Her friends would never be able to recognize her on those days if not for her unique hair colour.

{personality} 

Ji Yeon is exactly how you see her - overly hyper, easily excitable, and an unstoppable chatterbox. Everything that is in her heart: her dreams, her fears; it's all laid out right in front of her which makes her two things: 1) Honest, which most people appreciate, and 2) a pushover. It's really not hard to figure out what kind of person Ji Yeon is. If you just give her a little bit of yourself, she'll give you everything in return, which is part of the reason why she makes friends so easily.  She's always so willing to help somebody else that sometimes, she forgets about herself. Unfortunately, it is also the reason why she's been broken so many times, by back-stabbing friends and the like. But no matter how many times she's been hurt, she just doesn't seem to learn. Ji Yeon is good at picking herself up again, because she's done it so many times before. She's often described as a little ball of sunshine: bright, open-minded, fun and constantly smiling. She also has a little splash of daredevil in her which makes her so endearing. Ji Yeon has a lot of love to give, and is always ready to give it to anyone, even strangers who so much as accidentally look her in the eye. People often say she takes after her mother, but Ji Yeon is ultimately a daddy's girl. Though she may be childish, easily influenced and dependent on her friends, she knows how to stay true to herself. If she's sad, she'll cry no matter where she is or who she's with. If she's happy, she'll smile :) . If she likes you, she'll stay. If she doesn't, you'll know. She's as easy to read as an open book, but most people don't care enough to read between the lines.

- Ji Yeon is from Canada because that's where her parents were from before the three of them moved to Korea. They moved because Ji Yeon's conservative grandparents didn't approve of their children having a child fresh out of high school, and thus, they moved to get away from the judging eyes of their parents and the community.

Ji Yeon's family is scattered across the globe. Ji Yeon, of course, lives with both her parents in South Korea, but the parents of her parents live all the way in Canada, each set of parents having disowned their son and daughter after finding out that Ji Min (Ji Yeon's mother) became pregnant fresh out of high school. Ji Min gave birth to Ji Yeon in Canada, and after raising their little girl there for a couple of years, decided to move back to their roots, back to Korea for a fresh start, away from the judging eyes of the community and their own parents. As a result, Ji Yeon never really got to know her grandparents.

Also because Ji Min and Jin Woo never got to go to university, they both have mediocre jobs and therefore, don't live in luxury. Ji Yeon on the other hand, never asks for money from her parents, knowing her family's situation. Instead, she has her own job for pocket money as a retail worker at a clothing store. Doesn't earn much, but it's enough.

{personality} Unintentionally got pregnant right after high school, so she gave up a lot of things for the sake of her daughter. She is young, kind-hearted, and plays the mother-role very well. She fusses a lot over Ji Yeon and her future, and only wants the best for her. Because she is also extremely talkative and easygoing, she does her job as a customer service rep very well. She is definitely not as wild as her daughter, and in fact, often tries to tame her by hiding her colour contacts and weird fashion accessories, but it never works because Ji Yeon simply cannot be tamed.

{relationship} Ji Yeon and Ji Min act more like sisters than mother-and-daughter because of their smaller-than-normal . They joke around with each other, they shop together, they cook together, they do everything together, but Ji Yeon absolutely loathes it when her mother pesters her about deciding on a post-secondary education pathway, which she still has yet to figure out.

{personality} Like his wife, he also had to give up a lot of things when he found out he impregnated his high school sweetheart. He used to be funloving, wild like his daughter, and carefree, but now he's strict, always serious, and constantly working hard to support his family. He is much less talkative than his wife, and always seems to be grumpy, but a kiss on the cheek from either his wife or his daughter can easily bring his mood up. The only other thing that can do that is food.

{relationship} Because he always works late into the night, he is rarely home when his daughter is, but they still have a loving relationship. He is strict when it comes to Ji Yeon's grades, but couldn't really care less when it comes to her quirky fashion sense. After all, he used to be like that when he was her age. Ji Yeon got her wildness from him. Definitely.

{personality} She is a mature and hard-working young girl who lives next door to Ji Yeon and is like the big sister she never had. She excels in both school and singing talents and Ji Yeon's parents often joke that they wished Taeyeon were their daughter instead. She has a big heart, rarely gets angry despite the numerous amount of times Ji Yeon has come barging into her house with her life problems, and never seems to run out of patience. She laughs a lot and is a social butterfly.

{relationship} Taeyeon is Jiyeon's favourite unnie, and is the one she goes to whenever she has problems. On important days like exam day or the day of a really big test, Taeyeon will make sure to wake up extra early to cook breakfast for her. They don't really hang out in the day because they have different groups of friends, but Taeyeon is the first one Jiyeon will call when she needs someone to talk to.

{personality} She is an absolute sweetheart, and in Ji Yeon's eyes, the biggest competition to Sehun's heart. Not only is she popular, but she has a pretty heart to match her pretty face. She is genuine in everything that she does, and Ji Yeon thinks she has pretty much what every male in the universe is looking for in a girl. She's kind-hearted, dilligent, and hard-working, and is everything a mother would want to see holding her son's hand when he walks through the front door.

{relationship} Ji Yeon hates how it's so impossible to hate Ji Eun. She wants to hate her because right now, she is Sehun's girlfriend and currently holds the longest relationship record with Sehun (1.5 months), but she can't because Ji Eun has been nothing but nice in all their encounters with each other. Ji Yeon often thinks of shallow pranks to pull on Ji Eun but can never go through with it because it's literally impossible to do anything bad to Ji Eun without your guilty conscience killing you first.

{relationship} For some strange reason that neither of them understand, Jiyeon is absolutely infatuated with Sehun, but unlike all his clingy lovers, their relationship begins with her admiring him from afar. It isn't until they become seatmates in biology class that they begin to talk. Sehun, being the playboy that he is, takes innocent Ji Yeon's puppy-love infatuation with him to his advantage and begins to lead her on, despite already being in a "relationship" with Lee Ji Eun. Ji Yeon is the only one that falls in love. She's so easy, Sehun thinks, but it isn't until he's broken her heart, made her cry, and chased her away and made the biggest mistake of his young life does he realize that she just might be the one.

{first impression} The first time Ji Yeon sees Sehun, she's immediately starstruck by his handsomeness. All her friends tell her that he's bad news, but she doesn't listen. The first time Sehun sees Ji Yeon, he thinks she's just another shallow girl attracted to him because he's handsome, which is actually true. But the more she follows him like a puppy would to its unwilling owner, the more they get to know each other.

{extra} Because Ji Yeon was born one day before Sehun, she often playfully demands that he call her noona, which really gets on his nerves because 1) he is obviously the more mature one out of the two, and 2) nobody tells Sehun what to do.

{personality} He is a mature, kind-hearted man who is much less talkative than his older sister. He prefers to observe people rather than to approach them. He is a hard-worker, and everything that he's ever achieved, he worked for. He is quite outgoing, and is what most mothers would describe as the ideal son-in-law.

{relationship} He has a crush on Ji Yeon, but she doesn't know that. He secretly wishes that one day, it will be him that Ji Yeon barges into his house for instead of his sister. Most of the time, Ji Yeon just yells out a "Hi Jae oppa!" before she zooms past him and into Taeyeon's room.
