I have an aunt who works as a make-up artist in SME and she said that Yunho and Yuri were indeed great friends during the first few years of SNSD and the training period since Yunho and Yuri both got into SME at the same year. She described their friendship greater than YunBoa's but only off-stage.

But after some time, their relationship got so awkward during 2010, I guess. It was the time that MinYul started to spark up. She believed that these two indeed had a secret relationship that not even their friends knew about...Yunho even told this in an interview.
