Bored?

“Television is boring,” the little Jong In snorted as he sighed heavily, his chin rested perfectly in his hands. There’s only one single thing that completely blackened his small, clear eyes: bore. “Can’t I just go and play with my friends, noona?” he asked, his eyebrows creased in dissatisfaction.

No,” the older girl emphasized, pinching her temple with her slender fingers as wrinkles formed on her forehead. She sighed inwardly, and then shot her little brother a mean look with her hands placed on her petite hips. She continued, light gust of impatient heat started to crept up on her face. “No, Jong In, you are grounded for two weeks straight,” she stated knowingly. “And I, as your eldest sister will guard you along with your other sister.”

“Oh, come on! I didn’t do anything!” Jong In retorted as his heart burst in full anger. His hands raised on his side as a sign of protest. “Don’t lie, Jong In. You just call that boy – Kyungsoo – as an owl! That’s very rude you know? And he cried of what you did!” his eldest sister cooed loudly, her fingers pointed madly at nowhere.

“Ugh,” he groaned under his breath angrily as a sign of defeat, he lost of words. It wasn’t bad at all for sure! That Kyungsoo just have a pair of big eyes and he undoubtedly looked like an owl! And that Kyungsoo, aish, is just weak boy. Well, he cried? Like seriously? Pfft, he mocked in his thoughts. And his parents just not fair for making him grounded for two weeks with both of his oh-so-nice elder sisters for that little mistake. Well, it’s not even a mistake! That Kyungsoo was just weak!

“Just stay here and watch the television instead, and,” she paused for a while then continued, “I’m going to stay in here so that I could watch you out,” she said, her index finger moved casually side by side which simply had known as: no-no. With that, she finished the little argument and sprang her feet towards her room to take some of her homework to complete.

Aish, Jong In secretly sighed in his head. His eldest sister, with the difference age of 9 years with him, is certainly annoying. She just too obedient and strict! If she will stay in the living room with him, he won’t be able to escape and play with Sehun! Oh no, he thought. His plan is so not working. His sister is just overprotective. By that time, he swore that his eldest sister is the living creature that he hated the most in his life, ranked first before his ‘unfair’ parents. The only nice person in the house was only his other sister, who was five years older than him. Yes, he suddenly nodded. She is the only person that he could hope for. But, she’s a little lazy, she just love to sleep all day.

Aigoo, he sighed in heave once again. Looks like he can’t do anything at all, he’s just alone with his new stranger friend: television. He rolled his eyes. Teh-lee-vi-sion and whatever it is called was so boring, they can’t do a thing! Or even play with him like Sehun!

He crossed arms to his chest as he pressed the buttons of the remote control bluntly. “Huh,” he escaped a gust of air out of his lips full in hate. She just tuned in to the channels randomly and his impression was nothing – it’s just the way how he thought about television. Nothing special.

But then he stopped on his tracks. He paused just when he was just about to press on a random button as something surprisingly allured his eyes. His eyes widen that it glinted in amusement; his mouth gaped slightly as he gasped in awe.

A girl in the age of twelve stepped onto the stage with tight, sparkling pink outfit that suited with a long white stocking that reached to the height of her hips. A fluffy skirt in pale pink shone the most in her looks; her hair was tied neatly into a tight bun. “Start,” a deep voice uttered in calm and soft music played in the background.

The girl then suddenly moved a step that was unfortunately inexplicable to explain. The moves were so beautifully elegant; the girl rose up her hand with such a soft, subtle strength that looked simply perfect. She then twirled around in a swift pace that looked as if she was lifted off the ground as she flew gracefully in the air. A joyful smiled plastered across her face; her eyes glistened with longed passion.

Jong In can’t take his eyes off the screen, his mouth gaped in adore. Wow, that was extremely cool…

Jong In placed the remote control down slowly to the ground. His heart burst with anxiety and eager. He wanted to know more… he wanted to see more of it… just more… he wanted to see every single thing of it.

“So, you like it?”

Jong In whipped his head on his side, and surprisingly met his eyes with an unknown figure. A figure of a small girl of his age. Her long, straight hair cascaded beautifully on her shoulders as a knowing smile plastered across her face. Her skin was palely fair, her lips was lusciously red. Jong In was stunned and completely startled, his eyes widen in disbelief. How this girl could enter his house out of nowhere?

“W-who are you?” he asked in nervous, stuttering. Unexpectedly, the girl uttered a giggle under her breath. Her lips curved into a wider smile. “I’m no one, you don’t really have to know,” she paused then continued, “So, you like that? Well, that was called a dance but that type of dance is called a ballet. You think it’s cool right? You think you can do it?” she asked in a smirk.

Jong In feel challenged, his cheek burnt with anger. “O-of course I could!” he blurted out in a protest. “And I’ll prove it to you!” he said angrily, his fists clenched on his side. His teeth silently gritted with a forceful strength.

“Oh, jinjja?” the girl sneered. “Well, show it then. Show what you got,” she continued.

Jong In clenched his fists tighter, he growled as he loudly bellowed, “And I promise that I’ll be what she was like,” he pointed to the television screen. “-a dancer- yes, a dancer. I will be dancer when I grow up! And I’ll show it to you!”

The girl’s smirk slowly faded from her face as her eyes twinkled in slight amusement. “Arasso,” she took out her little finger then said, “It’s a promise then.”

Forcefully, Jong In took out his little finger hastily then interlocked it with hers. “It is a promise,” he grunted angrily before averted his gaze on the television, his eyes glistened of desperation. He then crossed his arms to his chest once before, another hatred feeling swept past him again.

“Yah, Kim Jong In,” his sister muttered in confusion, her eyebrows raised. “Who are you talking to recently? You were screaming like a crazy guy just now,” she asked with full, munching pieces of thin crackers.

But Jong In didn’t escape a single word from his lips. Instead, he tried and forced to just pay his attention to the interesting television which he suddenly found simply attractive. The question that her eldest sister bombarded from his back just shrugged off from his shoulder as it swept past the time. There’s only one single thought that rounded Jong In’s mind: ‘That girl… I’m going to prove it, no matter what. And I’ll be dancer when I grow up, I promise.’

His sister’s eyebrows rose even higher as her question left unanswered without any protests or retorts from him. She slowly pinched her chin as she silently thought, her forehead wrinkled curiously. ‘Who was Jong In talking to just now? There’s no one here.’

I have posted on a story before but I delete it, my emotional feels are fading away~
