Unsubscribe=Rude?
So guuuuys hello, I'm back with a legit post, not an app or advertising but a REAL post for you to read.
So you see, I read a lot of app stories, I also apply in some, get accepted in some, and I always ALWAYS see this rule;
'Don't subscribe even if you're not accepted!'
followed with spices of the author's choice; threat [if you unsubscribe, I'll completely block you off from my other app stories!!!], plea [you can but it's just plain rude *puppy eyes*], or anything in between. Now when I see this rule, I never fail to gape at it, flabbergasted, surprised, whatever.
I mean, why is it rude to unsubscribe a story, with an overused plot of characters getting into the kpop world and had a little romance? I mean the character is not ours, so it's not as fun to read, the plot is very predictable it doesn't even rouse your brain, the pretty girls from other girl groups are always this mean little and someone always has a horrible past that turns our heart into stone every time we read it. And don't get me started on the banal exploitation of gifs and pictures used to describe something the author's too lazy to explain, or the script-like paragraphs, it's called a story, not a script, for a reason.
If your story really is good, even if you don't ask them to subscribe, people WILL willingfully subscribe, because they're attracted to, because the story pulls them in. Now if you force them to subscribe, their subscription list will go on and on and on. Have you ever thought the happiness that bubbles from inside their heart once they see the update alarm in bright orange color and click it with anticipation only to be plummeted down once they realize 'Oh, it's only that one story I can't unsubscribe, let's look, has my other, REAL, subscription updated yet? FFFFUUUUUUU- not yet'
So why, is it rude to unsubscribe? Please, elaborate to me, because I think it's rude to force people to subscribe when you don't choose their characters.
Just saying. And asking :D
