Fiction based on Reality

Quite a confusing paradox isn’t it?

A fan fiction is supposed to be created through imagination and it should be entirely, literally a false story that only exists in our minds. But how about a fiction based on reality? Well, that’s what makes our story unique than any other fictions I’ve known.

Basically, the story tells something that these nine stunning ladies of the Kpop girl group, Girls’ Generation, have been throughout the years. They are real. They live. Their personalities are legit and we know them through the eyes. Our story created confusion because it has given interpretations and meanings on the actions executed by the members which we consider, the fiction of the story. Considering that the girls have sense of humor in general, we could create funny moments that might be happening in them. Realistic isn’t it? Technically speaking, if you are susceptible reader, reading our story would really change your perceptions through things that happen between the girls. And that wouldn’t be a good idea since this is, again, pure fiction. It’s fun playing with our imagination when reading fan fictions that are really good written, especially when moments like,

“OMG! Taeyeon kissed Jessica on her lips!” or,

“Hey Tiffany! Can’t you see that the two were betraying you since then?”

Those are the effects of our deprivation which fan fictions satisfy. It fills the missing moments we want to witness, which in the end makes us hope that those happenings really occur. We may want to believe those stories but then keep in mind that those are false stories, created and invented.

So much for the fiction side, reality is what makes it interesting. Questions like, “What if the video really exists?” would actually come into your mind if your sense of belief is quite weak. The reality part of the story is very essential because it is how we relate, in a way that we don’t need to adapt a new character since Jessica Jung is really a lazy bum, or Kim Taeyeon is the leader of So Nyuh Shi dae, or Tiffany Hwang is good at speaking English. My point is that, these facts add more flavors to the created plot of the story, plus, Sones/readers wouldn’t have a hard time understanding each character’s personality.

To summarize, I want to ask you guys,

Do you think it is possible that our story might be really happening?

In a way, this fiction-based-on-reality story is a bit convincing.

I think so. Since there are moments in the story that we, the fans, see in real life but then, I half believe it. I doubt it that they really are gay and they like other members. It's really hard to believe that they kiss, hug and do something more intimate. But, I would be happy if TaengSic is real.
