Okay, my tutor mode is on. hehehe.. Ok, i'm a BIG fan of K-Dramas, and ofcourse the ones that sets in the historical times (or later known as sageuk). 

Okay.... So, as I know, the earliest known period (not dynasty) is Mulmun period. That time people still live individually, Korea was still a piece of 'raw' land. 

Then...... The first kingdom came... Which is GuJoseon(ps: Do not mixed up with Joseon). The legend said that GuJoseon's first king was descended from Heaven to make earth a better place. The drama that potray this era is The Legend (Tae Wang Shin Gi) or known as The First King of Four Gods. 

 The next kingdom is Baekje. This kingdom is seldomly mentioned in the korean history books. No potrayal dramas so far. 

And.... Shilla! The most gorgeous kingdom in Korean history (in my opinion). In this kingdom, women's status are quite high and allowed to join pollitics. There are also female rulers, such as Queen Seondeok, Jideok,and the other one (I forgot). And the honorable female fatale, Lady Mishil. Recent potrayals shown on the hit drama Queen Seondeok and The Great King's Dream.

After Shilla was established, GuJoseon and Baekje haven't ended yet. This caused the event of "Korean Three Kingdom's"  (actually 4, but Gaya is excluded) era. But, from all those three, Shilla had the most power. 

After Baekje and GuJoseon, comes an Unified Shilla, followed by GuGoryeo. The king's and the achievements are not certain. After hundreds of years, then established a new kingdom named Goryeo (PS: Do not mixed up with GuGoryeo). 

In Goryeo, if I'm not wrong, confucians teaching began to enter ancient korean civilization. And, concubines, ministers, maids are given ranks. Women can't join pollitics, and should remain in their house as housewives. This is the main source of "Men-rulling" system. The famous persons are King Gongmin, Princess Nogook, and General Choi Young. Recent potryals are in the time-travelling drama Faith or The Great Doctor.

After Lee Seung Gye's coup, he established a new name for the country which is Joseon (PS: Do not mixed up with GuJoseon). Okay, this is the most popular era. Ofcourse many of you had know this era. Yes, the most famous thing was the clothing, Hanbok! The famous person's are King Sejo, Royal Consort Hui Bin, Empress MyeongSeong, and others. The most famous potrayals are Dae Jang Geum, Dong Yi, etc.
