Despite being a tomboy, Jinhee is a diva when it comes to clothes, is always wearing something stylish and unique. She tends to wear bright colours, star printed cardigans, multicoloured hats, detailed hoodies, long coats, patterned leggings, at least 8 accessories an outfit and she owns over 40 pairs of shoes. 

Her hair is usually either short with a straight fringe, dyed a bright coloured blonde or either her hair reaches down to her chest, black and wavy.

»onstage-personality Jin Hee maintains a genious child, tiny devil, straight forward personality. She isn't afraid to say things that pop up in her mind or her truthful opinions. Her members act silly, she'll call them idiots, they act sad she'll call them emo, she usually lightens up an awkward atmosphere. When she's angry, she can shout 'Yah!' really really loudly. She can also be quite immature and spoilt, but adds her own little aegyo into it. Although, the members don't exactly.. appreciate her aegyo because she adds so much cuteness into it, it's more like a drunk spoilt kid crying for candy. Alth0ugh, she's always enthusiastic on the stage, her sharp charisma and gaze always suits the peformance, her raps are always clear enough for the audience to understand and her dance moves are always, almost perfection. But, because of her spoilt, childish image she earned the title 'nation's baby'.

Jin Hee was discovered by a talent staff of SMENT, it was already very early in the morning, around 1-2. She use to be a part of a dance group called 'U-ME' with a few other students from her school, this was when she was 14 years old. She had late night practice and since her father worked late at night and her mother doesn't have a car lisence, she had to take the train home herself. Thinking that nobody was in the train except a few others a long distance away from her seat, she had started rapping 'Gucci Gucci', impressed he had informed the other talent staff, knowing which school she went to because of her uniform. They, then encouraged her to audition for SM. 

She danced, rapped and had to do a short vocal, the judges had accepted her into the final auditions, where she unfortunately failed. She had then thought about auditioning for YG instead, but got a callback about a week after and had been accepted as a trainee.

Jin Hee had to go through 3 years of training for vocal and dancing lessons. Jin Hee couldn't make friends easily because of her cold look, but about a month later she made friends through trainee camp. She also appeared in a few music videos , had 1 CF about milk and had a couple of street performances with other trainees. Her milk CF is where she got her stage name, Uyu.

»personality Jin Hee is a tiny devil type, tomboy-ish, pretty much the same as how she acts on stage. . She's like a baby that needs looking after by the group's 'umma', she also very fashionable. She's quite stubborn sometimes, pretending to cry and a jokingly manner and she's usually proud and cheerful when a fan notices her on the street. She's acts all sad when somebody mentions her height, but she gets over it in a second. She likes to rap at random times when they're doing things and dances at random times too. 

Her  attempted aegyos to annoy the other members, like already mentioned, sounds like a drunk crying baby begging her mother to get her candy, a little like Sunny's (I'm not saying Sunny's aegyo seems like a drunk crying baby xD, it's just the way SNSD can't stand it). 

Most of the time, Jin Hee insults the members, not trying to offend them but as in a family manner. For example, if a member is eating something unhealthy, she say; "Yah! Don't eat that or you'll die!" or make up a lie about what that certain food is made out of just to scare her unnies. Jin Hee is very straight forward, when somebody asks a question where it has to do with her opinion, she'd give them an answer straight up. eg; "Jin Hee, don't you think this bow matches me? [insert ugly pink facebook hearts], she would straight up reply; "no." or whatever pops up in her mind.

Despite her devil aegyos, the only time she tries to be cute is when she's trying to annoy the members with her aegyo. She's an excellent actor when it comes to pranking somebody. She has a laser glare. 

 

»background Jin Hee comes from an average family from Incheon, her father owns a fairly popular resturant and her mother is the manager. The family owns a good amount of money. She has an older brother at the age of 25 who is currently studying law. Jin Hee had originally wanted to become a dancer, but she also had talent in rapping. She wasn't sure about becoming a trainee at SM, she had thought about it for long until she had finally confronted her parents which took about 2 weeks, a week before the audition. Her father had simply refused and her mother had to go along with her father. Being her brothers beloved sister, she asked him to help her and it worked. 

Jin Hee auditioned and got into the final round, but had failed after a tough competition with 15 other trainees. But she got a callback, the CEO had seen a video of her and thought she had a lot of potential and she could improve greatly with training.

Jin Hee had a part time job at her father restuarant. He didn't think she would make it big in the music industry, so he refuse to let her audition which caused them to have a fight for the first time. But they soon forgave eachother with the help of Jin Hee's brother.
