family background:
Hannah was born in New York City, US. Back then, her parents were still a conceited business people. They succeed in every trade and every step they’re taking. But as time goes by, they finally realized that they can’t feel the emptiness in their heart with money and success, they need love. Therefore they decided to go back to Seoul 4 years after Hannah was born and start a new business right there, surrounded by their lovely and real family, they can feel that the emptiness started to be filled. But the only emptiness filled was Hannah’s parent’s emptiness. Hannah used to hate Korea, since she hadn’t been there before. She struggled to adapt with the food and she barely communicate with others. When Hannah’s 15, she’s already fluent in Korean and she already adapted with the food, but still she can’t fill the emptiness.

Hannah basically best described to be as sly as a fox. She’s smart, clever, and pretentious. She’s coming off as a nice and trustable person. Back in her trainee days, she only got a few haters and those haters are the people who already know who the real Hannah is. The real Hannah is conceited; she loves the feeling of being praised, because of her intelligence and talent, Hannah became a very conceited girl. She loves to make people tell her their secrets, because if so, she thinks that she has power over them, they will not go against her because they’re scared that she might spill their secrets.
Hannah is a two-faced girl; she uses other people to get what she wants. Usually she would befriended someone and act really nice to them just to get what she wanted, then soon after she got what she want, she would dump them and mock them all she wants. That’s what happened on her love life too; Hannah used to date boys just for fun or just to have some privilege.
Hannah might be mean and sly, but she’s not all that kind of mean girl. Hannah has a good side too, everyone do. Hannah is a professional, she rarely complain about things and she’s very good at keeping her manners, that’s why she can get the trust of the elderly so easily. One proof that she’s a professional is that she never mixes up her work with personal life, heck she had many works done with her exes, and she didn’t even act like they know them. Another good thing about Hannah would be, she doesn’t forget; once there’s this boy who saved her from a speeding car on the first time she entered her high school, then 2 years ago when the boy already graduated, he got caught in an accident, and his parents were unable to pay his hospital fee. When Hannah heard about it, he asked her parents to help the boy out, and when the boy’s mother asked her why she did it, she simply said “your son saved my life 2 years ago, I’m so thankful for that and I will never forget what he did.”
Hannah doesn’t do aegyo; not that she hates it, she just dislikes it. Hannah is also not a cold type of girl; as stated before, she’s coming off as a nice person, and she’d like to keep it that way. Hannah enjoys being surrounded by her “friends”, well she doesn’t really have a friend (real friend, I mean), she has trouble keeping someone as a friend for a long term.

Hannah auditioned on the 10 August 2008 for SM Entertainment Global Audition. She sang ‘Broken Vow’, and the judges were awed by her voice and her English pronunciation, three of the five judges insisted that she should be accepted. Later that month they informed her that she’s accepted.
Hannah didn’t struggle much on her singing, but she did struggle a lot on her dancing, because of her lacking on dancing, one of the SM representative put her to the best ballet class in the company (well they see a potential in her). 2 years later, she turned to one of the best dancer in the company, what to say, she’s a fast learner.
