JYJ′s Kim Junsu Talks About TVXQ and The Recent SM Case

On November 29 (local time), Kim Junsu held a press conference with the Korean press before his concert in Germany and touched on the sudden conclusion brought to his group′s case against SM Entertainment.

The singer said, "I heard the news on the day I left for Germany. The long legal case that had gone on for three years and four months suddenly came to an end. When the agreement was reached, I felt that those three years and four months weren′t spent for nothing."

He added, "I′m still surprised because I just heard of it on the day I came to Germany, and I can′t say much about it, but the important thing is that we garnered great results that are very encouraging. When I return to Korea I hope to meet with the members and talk it over."

The conclusion of the SM Entertainment vs. JYJ case also means that future performances involving all five members of TVXQ (DBSK) under that same name on one stage has been made near impossible.

"I′m also sad that I′ll never be able to greet anyone as TVXQ," Kim Junsu said. "I landed in showbiz as a member of TVXQ, and that′s how I became a singer; I can′t help but be sad about it."

He then said, "We fought with the unfairness of the company; we didn′t file a lawsuit because we wanted to abandon our title as TVXQ or because we wanted to leave the team. I′m very sorry to our fans, but I believe they will never forget the five years we were active under the name of TVXQ."

He then voiced his dream of standing onstage as five once more, saying, "This is [a vague dream], but I do believe that if the day comes when I can stand onstage under the name of TVXQ again, that will be the most emotional and happy day."

On November 28, SM Entertainment and JYJ′s agency C-JeS announced that they had agreed to cancel JYJ′s contract with SM. With this, the contracts between SM and the JYJ members Kim Jae Joong, Park Yoo Chun and Kim Junsu has been acknowledged to be cancelled on the day the lawsuit was first filed, July 31, 2009.

Both sides agreed not to interfere with each other′s future activities and to withdraw all other lawsuits.

Kim Junsu performed in his grand finale for his world tour in Germany on November 30. The tour traveled through seven cities in Asia, two cities in North America and three in South America, drawing in a total of 53,800 people to watch him perform.
