ALL OF US CAN RELATE (authors & writers)
I HAVE READ THIS ON A BOOK JUST NOW .. AND IT ALL TALKS ABOUT MORALITY ... well, for me it is.
AND THEN , THE AUTHOR TALKS ABOUT HOW ONE WRITES HIS OR HER WORK ...
IT STATED :
"For now... as much as possible, I would avoid reading books with the same theme as mine because I don't want to be influenced or to be compared to others, even though, that cannot be avoided. I am not happy to see, to read or to know that there's someone out there who had done the same theme as what I am about to do, but my editor adviced me that, there's no competition when it comes to writing. Of course, yes."
THAT'S THE FIRST ONE. DID YOU GET HIS POINT?? IF YOU DID ... TELL ME WHAT'S ON YOUR MIND WITH THAT ^ UP THERE. KINDLY??
ANOTHER THING HE SAID ON HIS BOOK :
"I belive that NO WRITER OR AUTHOR, that didn't copy ones ideas or story or theme in their life once. It's hard to avoid the two things that pushed us to do that thing. First, the extreme admiration of what we read, that when we write it, it will come out bad instead of good. And second, the laziness or the lack of will to think of any ideas aside from what we read. And mostly, the first one is the most common reason. Especially to amateurs and young writers."
"I know not, sir, whether Bacon wrote the works of Shakespeare; but if he did not, it seems to me that he missed the opportunity of his life." - James M. Barrie
i know i have mistakes there... it's because this came from a Filipino writer, Bob Ong in his famous book, Stainless Longganisa. weird title for a book but i know it is good, as well as his other works. i translated those/hs quotes from Filipino to English. my bad ==" but anyhow .. COMMENT WHAT YOU CAN SAY TO THIS BLOG, OKAY? PLEASE? I JUST WANT TO KNOW YOUR OPINION TO HIS OPINION. :D
