Still I Judge

Just a poem I have to make for school...Based on Maya Angelou's Still I Rise

Still I Judge

You dare take me lightly?
Shut your mouth, don't hold a grudge.
Submit to all my burning words,
'Cause without a doubt, I'll judge.

5  The way you walk unsurely
Your shoulders drooping low
My devil lips, they murmur:
Wimp, self-pity's so shallow.

And you girl, whose makeup,
10  Is caked on your face like fudge
Bright blossoms trail your snow white neck,
Forget reason, still I judge.

Yet you think yourself a floret
Candy sweet and baby blue,
15  Well honey, here's a newsflash:
Those flowers wither too.

Then there's that one wallflower,
Chinky eyes framed in clear glass.
His limbs stick thin and shirt tucked in
20  Well, losers like hid don't last.

But who am I to judge them?
My fault as great as theirs?
Whose whispers only cover truths,
That bind me in nightmares.

25  Like a coward, there I mutter,
Words by the book-filled shelf
Since cowards like me wish to cover
That my own judgements taunt myself.

So call me a hypocrite, if you wish
30  Still I judge
Behind my mask of indifference
Still I judge
Remember this: I won't lose my touch
Against my words, you're nothing much
35  I constrict your throat and crush your soul
Just watch me, still I judge
With taunts that pierce into your heart,
Still I judge
With jeers that fire like bullets do
40  Still I judge
You're painted by the image I made of you
Still I judge
I judge
I judge

Lol, so maybe it's kinda ty...xD

Love, Jelly
