She gets cold easily, so she usually wears a coat or shawl over her dresses to keep warm.

background history - She  barely remembers anything about her past, but she sometimes remembers a few short memories of her playing with the other children at the orphanage she was raised at and being teased by the other children because she was Chinese. She remembers two blurry images of people who she could only guess were her parents, bring her to a strange place (which she later learned was an orphanage) and suddenly leave her there. Living amongst Korean children who could not speak Mandarin, Mei Li had trouble communicating with the others at first, but eventually, she learned fluent Korean and was able to speak to everyone. She remembers leading the other girls she used to play with, as if she was their adopted mother. She remembers the orphanage being very hectic and busy with so many playful and wild children running around, and she remembers being the only one who could calm the other kids down.

personality - Mei Li is calm, rational, and only speaks when she needs to. She's not someone you would call shy, because she has an air of confidence around her, but she chooses to only say what's needed. A born leader, Mei Li can easily take control of the situation and is able to control even the most rambunctious people. She's a bit of a worrywart; always getting worried for people whenever she learns that the person is sick or slightly unwell. When she sees that someone needs help, her motherly side will take over and she'll rush over to do whatever she can to help.

She's the type of person that you can always come to whenever you need a listening ear, and is always there to give advice to people. She naturally takes care of the people she cares for, always making sure that her girls are well-fed, healthy, and safe. She rarely ever raises her voice and chooses to solve problems by discussing the problem calmly and maturely. The last thing she would ever want to do is to show others emotions like fear, panic, distress, or anger, because she knows that most people come to her when they're in need of help or reassurance.

Sometimes, the pressure of being the leader and mother of the group is too much for Mei Li, so she spends her free time in calm and quiet places where she can relax and rest. She doesn't want to let others know that even she has a breaking point, and so she rarely ever shows anger or frustration.

She wants to make sure that her girls know that they're not alone, that they'll always have family, people who care about them and people who love them. To the other girls, she's like the mother they never had; gentle, caring, and loving.

dream life - Mei Li's dream is simple; she wants to live in an happy family. Of course, this was impossible since she lived in an orphanage, and although she loved all her friends, it just wasn't the same. She dreams of having two kind parents who love her and always shower her with love, and Mei Li dreams of having a happy family with a gentle and kind man. Like the way she feels about her girls, she wants to shower her children with love and make sure that they know that they'll never be abandoned and will never feel alone.

how you met in paradise - Stressed, confused, and afraid in a strange and unfamiliar land, Mei Li has to escape to quiet places a lot more in order to calm down and stay sane. She does her best to hide her stress from the other girls and chooses to hide in quiet places like under large trees that offer a cool shade. One day, she meets a gentle and good-looking man occupying her usual spot, and because she is relieved to find someone who looks relatively normal, she quickly introduces herself and becomes his friend.

why do you want to get chosen? - I really want to join because I've really been getting interested in apply fan fiction lately! This is the very first fan fic I've ever applied for, and I was just really attracted by the plot. I've always liked fantasy fan fiction, and can't really find any decent ones here. However, this one really looks promising and interesting ^^
